How come Julio Cesar isn't with the Brazilian squad? I only see good old Marcos and a newbie called Gomes in the squad. Wasn't Cesar supposed to be Dida's understudy? I know he didn't play since January, but at least shouldn't he be the third GK?

newbie called Gomes? I'm not fully sure what you mean by newbie, but he's a great keeper. He plays for PSV and proved how good he is there. I don't see why Cesar would be called up, he hasn't played for a long time.

31 isn't too old for a keeper. 31 for a keeper is like 27-28 for an outfield player.

anyway can we please forget about O. Sanchez. This is rumours topic, I don't see any rumours.

b4 we trust Carini or J.Cesar we shud watch them play a full season of serie a soccer ...... only then we can judge if they r good enough

I say lets get Pagliuca for a season as Toldo's backup and send these 2 on loans 2 clubs where they will be undisputed number 1s

then see which 1 fares better

somewhere i read Peruzzi is also out of contract

so if Pagliuca dont agree we have another option

hell yes get Pagliuca. This guy is so under-rated. I'm sure he could even push Toldo for a first team spot. Pagliuca is AWESOME. I remember his save in world cup 98. He made this amazing save from, I think it was a Tore Andre Flo header, he dived down spectacularly to save it. Since then I've thought he was amazing. He's a reliable player.

I doubt we are getting anyone. This whole topic is flawed, for its clear Toldo is staying with us next year. Also, its clear we have people in the wings, whether it is Carini or Cesar.

How do you know he's coming? Heck, we never received an official word that he belongs to Inter, so he could just end up like Peralta. A player other sites said we signed but we obviously never did. Or Barbosa which I heard was signed but us, but who has really signed with Villareal.

Moratti confirmed in an interview a while ago that Cesar has been signed. So it's settled.

I think we should definitely loan him or Carini out. They will both never get starts unless Toldo has a major lapse in form. A team like Parma needs a keeper now that Frey is gone. Cesar should go there maybe.

His name is Horacio Peralta.

He was rumoured to be the next Recoba, and we apperantly got him for 10 million from Uraguay'n Nacional.

Anyway he never came, he went to Cagliari for a short stint, then ended the current season with Albacete in Spain.
