we already signed gargano and he turned out shit. our worst player mostly :work:

As I said, I'm not saying we should have signed Gargano instead. To be fair he was also played out of position at Inter.

I'm saying Medel at his best is doing nothing Gargano given a consistent run in the team and the right position couldn't do. My point is Medel isn't good enough. And he is not a fighter either. He runs like crazy, not because he is going crazy for the team, but that is his style of play. Like Taider. The team needed champions today who would give their all and Medel was certainly not one of them.

This is what happens when you buy a player based on WC hype. He was suited to Cardiff, but here he ends up being a liability who slows down our attacks far too often.

I'd love if we could get a player like gonalons or maybe even Alan from Udinese who admittedly has been pretty average this season under that loser Strama

he doesnt slow down our attacks when we have players like guarin and hernanes who lose the ball all the time. how does he slow down our play when he misses almost no passes and never keeps the ball for long. people here are deluded tbh. maybe the long term effect of seeing inter underperform is starting to play games with the brain.

sampdoria play with palombo and silvestre as starters and they play consistently better than us. explain that geniuses. its a team game, they have better chemistry. that is all there is to.

we play with a shaky cb pair who both have absolutely no confidence and/or ability. couple that with a campagnaro or a guaro/hernanes who has his brain turned off for most of the games and you get very nice cocktail. not to mention our fullbacks who are mediocre at best in defense and other useless cunts like kuzkuz and etc. it makes me laugh sometimes when reading some of you posters logic.
and btw, medel is average lately, let that be clear but that doesnt mean everything is on him. this team is shit atm. end of story

He runs like crazy, not because he is going crazy for the team, but that is his style of play. Like Taider. The team needed champions today who would give their all and Medel was certainly not one of them.

then we can start replacing almost the whole team bar palacio and icardi because none of them qualify. certainly not a ranocchia for example who is barely better than jj, inconsistent and a walking brainfart. that guy is supposed to be the captain and then people are surprised we start losing.

I really don't understand the criticism of Medel, never have nor never will. He works his fucking ass off ( a thankless task I see) he making vital tackle after vital tackle & is constantly tidying up after others mistakes.

Running around and working hard ≠ actually playing good football.

"Hard work" from a terrible player is such an over rated trait. In all sports
Oh he's bad but he works hard! So what. Garbage is garbage.

There is nothing more dangerous than a hard-working, self-unaware fool in life. I'm not saying Medel is one but such people cause a great deal more damage than ordinary mediocre idiots.

Yet another good game from Medel, my Motm, we'd be fucked without him.

True. He probably is always one of the top 3 players for us in every game. There was an episode last night where he closed down Eto who had to pass to someone else 12m away and within a fraction of seconds that guy was closed down by him too. It was amazing. It's very hard to dig up consistency and passion in our circumstance time over time but he does it. Especially when the rest of the defence is clueless.

He's a tackler. That's what he does. That's all he can do. I would say he had a great game because he made a few tackles. Or closed a guy down. That's his job. I don't think anyone is faulting him on his tackling. I think his ability to close people down May be a little overrated. He gets lost some times.

He looked off at least 10-15 passes going forward, that may have been risky but much higher reward, just to simply turn back or pass 10 feet laterally. Which absolutely kills attacks. And allows the opposition to get into position. The man is serviceable. Nothing more. No way should he be starting. And in no universe can he be the main peice in a midfield trying to make Europe.

One of his better games yesterday, and everybody knows how critical I've been of him. He's just not an adept passer and never will be, but he did his job in shielding better than previous games.

I don't see what's wrong with his passing. He plays a good few balls forward compared to a lot of DMs and he always ends up with one of the highest passing %.

I don't know why Mancio is not trying him to play CB.

It's more decision making under pressure from opposition that my pet peeve. He CAN pass as in he has the technique to pull off most passes and has decent range as well. The problem is when he's pressured he usually plays "hot potato" and passes the ball to Rano, JJ, of Handa/Carrizo under pressure which often results in turnover. Or he simply just loses it.

If we had proper defenders he wouldn't be needed in our starting 11...

oh wait...we have a Vidic who for some reason gets to play only when there are emergencies...doesn't matter he will leave in the summer anyway...long live Frog-JJ pairing!

And Medel keeps fucking up anyway...evidence above.

Guarin-Medel-Brozovic is the least creative mf ever seen...reminds me of JZ-Cuchu-Vieira or similar non creative bs...but those guys were 100x better at what they did so...I'm gonna leave the Brokid out of it because he is still young but the other two are just :palm: at times with their decisions with Guarin taking the cake...

Kova and Hernanes can root on the bench anyway...fuck creativity!

Back to Medel...he does his job but he has no added value...the kind that can win you matches and such...he is nowhere near Cuchu in his good days or even less good days...tbh
I respect his determination and passion but it ain't enough.
He does a lot of mistakes while in dangerous areas...losing possession that lead to deadly counters! That annoys me a lot...even though his passing is good, his decision making sometimes is comical.

It would be nice to see kova get a start at his position.

Kova would provide absolutely zero cover for the defence and midfield. Although, against Parma, Id like to think our defence won't need that much cover. If there's a game to try him I suppose it's that one.

Because our current midfielders have done such an excellent job of providing that cover.

Without Medel, that cover would be even worse, especially if medel was replaced with kova.

I don't know why Mancio is not trying him to play CB.

Yeah let us use a player as tall as Messi in the central defence... 170 cm against someone at at least 190. We could also just go out now and kill ourselves instead?

Medel is one of the most consistent in his performances on our team and is far from being our worst player so I can't see the reason to why we should move him around to an another position.
