Opinion:

I think the voting on the match ups should be made at the end of the season. I think it would add an extra dimension to it as some people might go for up-and-comers and would facilitate conversation as the season goes on and people could discuss how their players are going and so forth.

Maybe end of the year? End of season is too much. Or maybe both?

I think voting at the end of the season makes it more interesting. It will lead to more discussion over the season rather than people just quickly voting and this thread not been looked at again for years. Secondly, it makes picking more interesting rather than just choosing players on their most recent performances. Thirdly, so far it seems that the picks have been skewed by pre-season pro-Inter optimism. Maybe that optimism is founded, but there is only one way to determine that it's by voting at the end of the season

Maybe we could also get 3 subs if it goes towards the end of the season? One for each (defence, midfield, attack). Just in case one of the players we selected leaves Italy (if that matters) or is injured for a long time etc.

We should probably decide on when to do the teams soon enough, or else we're going to have the teams picked soon. I don't really mind, I think a year is a long time to wait just for 8 people too, we could have a few rounds of this throughout. I don't know.
