I kinda like the way Grosso keeps his feet together. He usually waits for someone to come and help him, rarely gives the crossing room etc. Atleast in World Cup he did that great.

I am not sure why Mancini selected Grosso ahead of Maxwell. Right form the opening minutes, it was clear that something was not right with him. He looked to be struggling in terms of movement and given Maxwell's performances the latter should have been in the starting eleven rather than Grosso.

Grosso, Cannavaro and Zidane epitomizes the theory that if you play well in a World Cup, your name is immortalized. He has done nothing with the Nerazzurra jersey to win his spot in the starting XI but just because of Germany 2006, he has somehow been selected ahead of Maxwell. The Brazillian has clearly, without a shadow of a doubt, been the better LB for Inter this season and one has to wonder, when will Mancini finally realize that Grosso, is just hype.

I sign every word of this, at least regarding Grosso. He's been somewhat a disaster considering what was expected. Horrible passing, no ball-control, lazy defending after give-away. Maxwell is Zanetti-a-like compared to Grosso, calm and secure. Brazilians plus thing are good crosses. Mancini really should consider Maxwell as a starter. Grosso can be a rotation player and a player for different solutions when we need attacking force to left flank.

To be honest mancini has started maxwell alot of times ahead of grosso, but i also thought grosso sstarting would be better because with oddo attacking that much grosso would have pushed forward alot but anyways he got injured, but anyways i think having both of them is a great thing and offcourse should start.

Well, I guess that we officialy have Brazil's full backs. :D

Carlos - out.
Cafu - out.

Maicon - in.
Maxwell - in.

lol.. the Cs out, and the Ms in.

I can't believe that last season we had Wome and Ze Maria.

Adnan, I wouldn't say anything towards Ze Maria as he crossed an absolute beauty for El jardinero to win at the Delle Alpi in beginning 2005.

As for who does Mancini prefer...

Grosso - 1929 minutes
Maxwell - 1426 minutes

And Grosso started the Derby. Indeed, Maxwell was out at the beginning of the season and unavailable for selection but so was Grosso at the middle part of the season.

Ironically, Grosso himself outclassed Ze Maria in Renzo Barbera. I'm starting to think that Grosso is just a few months wonder.

Finally, Maxwell is here to end our 10 years left back curse. :stoned:

Grosso unlike Maxwell, at least from what I have seen, has a fantastic left foot shot. He has his good games, and he has his bad. I just think its great that we have decent LB from Italy. I would still prefer Maxwell over Grosso though.

i think grosso is our weakest player at the moment ... and maxwell is doing well from game to game ... i think in coming years this boy will be the world's best LB

I think Grosso as a back-up would be great! Heinze although a great player, would just be another name to fill a spot that we already have covered by Maxwell.
