We won most of the last few early matches we had. Let us not make it look like Inter is in crisis or doesn't have a far superior squad to Empoli

The thing is with Sanchez, he did not develop enough partnership with Thuram yet. I will definitely start Lautaro- Thuram. Get an early goal or two, then Alexis can come in at later time. The same thing with Barella. If somehow, Miki-Frattesi does not work well, then Barella can come in in the second half. The wingbacks are ok. Looking for 2:0 or 3:0 win for Inter. Score early and score often!

Limone is just doing random rotation, don't think it has to do anything with that error vs Soceidad. Could be that Limone feels like a rotation in defence is necessary at this point, so be it.

Acerbi has just returned from an injury, while we have Pavard back in the game. Then we also have de Vrij who has been rather solid in overall, so it's just a normal rotation just like we have seen it in last season as well. But personally I have always been kinda sceptic with the idea of having de Vrij in centre and Acerbi in the left.

Nothing to do with that mistake. It was very expected for Bastoni to sit this one out even before the CL match.

As much as I love Acerbi, I can see he isn't 100% yet. Might be the right game to sit out and let us have a non italian defence for once.

Darmian and Dimarco on the wings sounds good.

I'd keep Hakan on the bench and start Asllani to give the latter another chance. The match against Sociedad was probably too much for the kid who lacked match fitness. If things go south, Hakan come on in the 2nd half towards 60th minute or so. If not, let the kid play full match. Also, Lautaro should definitely continue playing to grow his goal tally.

This is literally the most jam-packed part of the schedule we're going to get all year, this stretch between the 1st and 2nd international breaks, so even if Bastoni could use it, he's not gonna get it. None of the important players will. We need to rely on the squad depth to get us some results when we're playing every 3-4 days during this span...it's always this stretch between the 1st and 2nd international breaks each year that are brutal because there's two CL match days and the other week that isn't is always one of the few midweek matchday rounds we get each season. No chance to get rest.
