Selling or keeping Dumfries is about the evaluation of who's gonna replace him. Is Buchanan ready / good enough? Will Darmian be considered as RWB?

We might end up keeping Dumfries for the final year and not extend him if we can't find another solution to the RWB issue.

But I doubt we're going to extend him if he keeps asking 5m€ net per season.

I think you have mixed up things a bit. He is Juventus owned since 2022. They had just sent him on loan to Bologna last season. They consider him as part of their future core.

If we sold him for anything near 25mln it would be a good deal. As much service as he has done, he is the most bearable one at the moment. I would try for Lucas Vasquez if available with his contract running down.

If he’s willing to renew on our terms, I’d keep him. Otherwise we basically have no choice but to take what we can get.

I found his wage demands too excessive for his quality. Hakimi was on 4 mln and he is much better. I don't recall how much is Dimarco salary, but it's lower than 5-6 mln as well.

We will sell even for 15m. This club can't afford another player leaving for free. Let's say we keep him for the last year, that will mean we pay 18m+ (including salary) for 1 year service of Dumfries, that's just too much for a poor club like us.

Dumfries is good but he's no Hakimi. We were able to replace Hakimi in a much more difficult situation, so I'm confident we can replace Dumfries. Marotta and Co. must already have a list of potential replacements, in case Buchanan doesn't work.
