He's a backup keeper on minimal wages who has played one Serie A in three years. This is as much as you can expect.

Yeah. Not a great keeper just exposes our defence and how shit it is. Handa bails them out so often. We shouldn't rely our defence on GK bailing them out in big moments.

I think we should go for Berisha of Spal as a second keeper.

To be fair you expect him to be able to make a simple save considering he has been a professional goalkeeper and training daily for many years. He was 'tested' (barely) twice and failed twice.

Absolutely terrible performance tonight. In fact apart from catching the ball (by some miracle) I don't think he even made a save? It was De Vrij, Skriniar or Brozovic bailing him out every time by making vital interceptions.

There is a reason this guy doesn’t even really play Coppa games.

I think this is a bonafide hole in our squad we have just been hoping we never got caught out for. We basically have one world class keeper and two just to practice with the team and take a place on the bench. Goalkeeper injuries are fairly rare, this is the first I can remember for Handa.

We definitely need to address this but I also understand why we haven’t previously coming off FFP with much more pressing needs then a back up for a position that goes years without injury and already has a world class player.

I'd rather have someone like Mirante as a backup - has over 350+ games in Serie A, experienced, won't make many mistakes. Padelli just constantly looks unsure.

I’m happy for him, he’s a die hard interista and he obviously ‘felt’ this match as much as the fans. We won, all is forgiven.

But fucking seriously, get Handa up to that mountain healer.

He aint bad GK. Mediocre yes, but not bad. You cannot expect him to perform if he is played once in 2 years lol. But yeah, he is getting old and we need better second GK, considering Handa is getting old as well. Some young GK with potential to be a starter.

He was just nervous. Happens. Move on.

He should play vs Napoli and vs Ludogorets in both fixtures.

The worse thing is we offloaded Radu to Parma, where he doesn't even play :palm:
But nobody could not know this.

That's kind of what the issue is. We shouldn't have a 2nd goalkeeper who gets nervous when he needs to play a game. That's why I'd prefer someone like Mirante who's a better goalkeeper, more experienced, where this wouldn't be an issue.

I can only imagine how nervous this guy would be playing away to Lazio whose attack is light years ahead of Milan.

I don't understand the criticism of his performance. What did he do wrong? The only complaint I have is the first goal. The second goal was clearly Skriniar's fault, and it's not like he had many other worrying moments. The Calhanoglu distance shot maybe?

For me, it's really the culmination of this guy's performances over the years, even back in Torino. In the Udinese games, he had a few 'shaky' moments, like that cross that he almost fumbled near the end of the match when Bastoni luckily got in the way of the player who kicked his leg instead of the ball. Similarly the save he made vs. Udinese from Fofana's shot that looked like it was going 5 metres off target that he wasn't able to judge. In the Milan match, I thought the 2nd goal a better goalkeeper could have saved it as it wasn't a very good shot by Ibra, but I agree it's mostly Skriniar's fault.

It's hard to pinpoint, but the guy constantly seems nervous to me.

Wait what lol? He was at fault for both goals, yeah Skriniar deserves blame as well for the 2nd but Padelli should have still saved it. I would have put my house on the line that Handa would have saved the 2nd

We are all getting old. There no way getting younger.

only for Handa to get stunned and watch the ball rolls into the net.
