Why now?
They can still manage to return the score against Sevilla.
It would be an amazing situation for Leicester to play a Champions League final and in the same time get relegated from Premier League.

So was I?

Or was I?

They should at least have given the guy one last crack at the home tie vs Sevilla. He deserved that.

Poor dude, undeserved sack.

Also, the fact that this year's FIFA best coach is getting sacked.

Now they will definitely get relegated :D.I think they got a very good result in the UCL and could have pulled off a big upset. They would have escaped relegation - only just - but still they would have been safe under Ranieri this season imo.Probably would have finished 17th.

Have seen this happen so often though.A team overachieves and wins the league and then fights relegation next season so not really surprised.Especially in France before the Lyon domination began. So many teams would win the league or qualify for the Ucl and then end up fighting relegation next season - PSG,Lens,OM,Nantes,Auxerre,Monaco.Real Sociedad were similar too. They had the same coach as Nantes.Happens in the smaller leagues all the time too.Stabaek made Europe and had a dream season and then this season fought of relegation.Ah well poor Ranieri but i was never a fan and didn't care much for his bandwagon after last season.

Oh and my favourite Ranieri moment will always be his choke job for Roma vs Sampdoria :D.Pazzini scoring that goal and Ranieri and Totti'sfaces after that defeat were priceless.

Roberto Mancini is the early favourite to return to a club where he had a brief spell as a player and a league where he led Manchester City to the title. The Italian is 5/4 (2.25) to take over at the King Power Stadium with Paddy Power.

Frank De Boer left Inter Milan after failing to produce satisfactory results at the San Siro. The ex-Ajax boss, who has been regularly been linked with Premier League jobs is 5/1 (6.0) at the time of writing.

Betting company saying that they are the favorites to take over

Hiring former Inter coaches worked for them in the past. If they're pressed for budgetary concerns, Stramaccioni is also available.

He lost the team, but I wouldn't have sacked him relegation isn't the end of the world.

I'd say a relegation would have tarnished his remarkable EPL win. Like this he went out like a hero.

"You either get sacked as an EPL winner or stay long enough to see yourself get relegated."

Raymond Domenech, the man who used the horoscope to select the French NT squad and nearly won a World Cup that way, just tried to block good, old Claudio Ranieri from coaching Nantes because he's... well, good and old.

Domenech feels being over 65 forbids Ranieri to coach a Ligue 1 team. Damn, this guy is so crazy I'm surprised he never coached Inter.

I hope Ranieri can get the job and does well in France. Don't think much of him, but he seems like a nice guy, and this ageism thing is BS.
