LOL, crazy evening... I'm sad about Ajax and Zvezda most... Well, to be honest Milan was better, but I really wanted to see tham in CL.

About Ajax, I also wanted to see tham in CL, coz they play great football... Interesting and very amusing...

And our Rabotnicki didn't make it (what was obvious after the forst game against Lille in France)...

So interesting, but sad evening for me...

At least ManU won!

It's good to see some new teams in Champions League. the ones like Copenhagen, Levski and Steua. I think the tournament will be very interesting this season.

Now waiting for the draw at 18:00 CET ;)

That's our Champions League 2006/07 fixtures:

Matchday 1, Tuesday 12 September
Sporting Lisbon v FC Internazionale

Matchday 2, Wednesday 27 September
FC Internazionale v Bayern Munich

Matchday 3, Wednesday 18 October
FC Internazionale v Spartak Moscow

Matchday 4, Tuesday 31 October
Spartak Moscow v FC Internazionale

Matchday 5, Wednesday 22 November
FC Internazionale v Sporting Lisbon

Matchday 6, Tuesday 5 December
Bayern Munich v FC Internazionale

I think we will probably start with draw at Lisbon, then two home wins against Bayern Munchen and Spartak. So, after first three games we will have 7 points, not so bad.

Then in next two games we will collect 4 points and we will have 11, and will qualify for the next round as winners.

Last game against Bayern Munchen will be just formality and Inter will play with experimental squad so probably we will lose.

Damn that grop draw is ******* *****!!! :dazed:  Oh well, having the Scudetto badge should help the team fight :yeay: ;) :p

Bayern München 2005/2006 Season Champs
Games:34
Wins:22
Draws:9
Losses:3
Goals for:67
Goals against:32
Points:75
Top scorer: Makaay with 17 goals
Possible line-up:
Code:
--------------Kahn----------------
Sagnol----Lucio---Van Buyten----Lahm
Salihamidzic--Demichelis-Ottl--Schweinsteiger
---------Makaay---Santa Cruz---------

Bayern are somewhat overrated if you ask me, they might be an unstopable Bundesliga jaggernaut but if we hit them with the right form they'll have no idea what hit them...I'm hoping for another "Barca humbling"…Not to be hyped.

50149.gif

Sporting 2005/2006 Season 2nd
Games:34
Wins:22
Draws:6
Losses:6
Goals for:50
Goals against:24
Points:72
Top scorer: Liedson with 15 goals
Possible line-up:
Code:
--------------Ricardo----------------
Miguel Garcia----Polga---Tonel----Caneira
-------Custódio/Farnerud---João Moutinho-------
-------------Carlos Martins-----------
---------Liedson---Bueno/Douala---------

The dark horses, good think we already had an early warning, Carlos Martins was single handedly screwing around with us…With 12 direct free kicks for Sporting and two bar rebounds, I’m not expecting this encounter to end goalless again, not to be underestimated!

50068.gif

Spartak Moscow 2005/2006 Season 2nd
Games:30
Wins:16
Draws:8
Losses:6
Goals for:47
Goals against:26
Points:56
Top scorer: Pavlyuchenko with 11 goals
Possible line-up:
Code:
--------------Khomich----------------
Jiranek----Stranzl---Radoslav Kovac----Rodriguez
Kalichenko--Mozart-Titov-- Bystrov
---------Pavlyuchenko---Cavenaghi---------

Many familiar faces…Jiranek, Stranzl, Mozart, Cavenaghi and the influential Titov, they haven’t qualified in fashion so I’m hoping this form would continue. As had happened before, expect a very tiring home match and a rather boring defensive display at home! Not looking forward to this at all, talking of which…Remember when Cavenaghi was the hottest talent in South America?

MoH, good information by the way ;)

Personally I wanted to have Bayern Munchen in our Group, but not together with Sporting

Bayern Munchen are not as strong as evryone rates them. They didn't buy new players this season exept Podolski and Van Buyten. I think we will collect 4 points, or as I told earlier in thsi thread we would lose in the last our game because we will be already in the knock-out strage ;)

Most importan for us will be games against Sporting, because they are good team and they have some talented players.

We can easily get 6 points with Spartak, because they are not as strong as they were 6-7 years ago ;)

Inter will qualify as a Group winners :interscarf:

I don't know why Mancini didn't include him in this squad. I think the reason is that B List must have players who have been at Inter at least 3 years cinse they turned 15.

Because he is a youngster the same reason why ribas wasn't included either. They are talented but they need time their is no need to rush them. They should play with the primavera for now.

I suppose Andreoli and Esposito are the 2 home grown players on our list. Anybody know anything of Esposito.

THe final will be played on the beautiful Athens Stadium, the stadium of Athens Olympic 2004, a great scene but what is bad is tyhe same thing like Stade De France, the main television camera position, too low and far.

The money machine keeps churning out more and more millions as the total amount of prize money up for grabs has shot up from last year’s 610 million Euros to 750 million.
Just for taking part clubs will pocket a healthy 4,400,000 Euros – an increase of 874,000 Euros on the 2005-6 sweetener.
The perks have also been tweaked up: each win is worth an extra 600,000 Euros (compared to 321,000 last season) while a draw earns 300,000 Euros (161,000 last season).
Getting to the last sixteen now raises 2,200,000 instead of last season’s 1,600,000;going through to the quarter-finals 2,500,000 (up 600 grand) and the semi-final places move up from 2,600,000 to a round 3 million per club.
The runners-up get almost the same as last year (Arsenal picked up an extra 3,900,000) and the 2006-7 Champion will be rewarded to the tune of a 7,000,000 bonus. (FC Barcelona pocketed 6,400,000 when Puyol raised the trophy).

Chelsea-Werder 2-0..

Unlike most of you, I was watching this match and it ended as everybody predicted..Chelsea was dominant and deservingly won the match..There was a chance for Werder, when they were a goal down, to make the game interesting again when Klose struck the bar, but immediately after Ballack secured the win for Chelsea by converting the penalty..

The match wasn't spectacular, Chelsea needs Robben and J.Cole on wings to be more dangerous..Drogba and Sheva had an average game, it was 'the cannibal' who impressed me the most..Very solid and quick defender..

Bayern and Barca demolished their opponents with ease, Roma did it also in 2nd half..Nice result for Valencia in Greece, 2-4 (hattrick Morientes)..

true, chelsea had a solid game tonight while Sheva again looked out of sorts tonight ... it's like this isn't his team ;)
is it Khalid Boulahrouz you are refering to as "the cannibal" or someone else?

Yes, it's him, I saw him only once till this match and he seems to be great signing for Chelsea..Not useful in attack, though..

Sheva just isn't the same player that wore Milan's shirt..In Chelsea, he definitely doesn't get enough passes, rarely position himself right and doesn't look dangerous as he used to in Milan..I can't say I'm glad cause I still like him, but what makes me happy is the thought that he already regrets leaving us..

It's Milan time today, I can't even imagine we're not going to win..Aek at home is perfect start in CL, I just found out the match will be shown LIVE on Rai Uno, so I'm going to watch it on TV..

Btw. Pizzaro scored a wonderful goal for Roma..:p
