These matches really makes me want Dambro back.

Guy is reliable and pretty decent at moving the ball upwards the field in either a wingback role or right CB.
You can sometimes question his defensive liablity but he's one the calmest players on the pitch and definitely provides good experience and calmness.
Many players seems "tired" out there so hopefully Sensi and Dambro will be back soon.

Random observations:

Godin can't play two games a week, his performance yesterday was subpar.
Skriniar did well moving into their half, overall had a good game and seems back to the usual standards. OG was an unfortunate deflection.
Gagliardini did well which pleases me greatly since I always say he is as good as, and also less obnoxious than Vecino. Don't blame him one bit for smacking Tonali there but that yellow card was a slap on the wrist. Overall one of the rare games where ref was biased towards us and let us get away with a bunch of shit. There were easily 4 or 5 fouls for Brescia that they didn't get. Just saying, it needs to be acknowledged.
Handa with that elite double tap save. Rare moment of him being upset and yelling at the defenders when Brescia was setting up that FK near the end.
Esposito's cameo was utterly unnecessary at that point, even Valero would've made more sense in terms of holding the ball in midfield instead of risking Gagliardini getting a second yellow.
Asamoah did well, he doesn't exactly turn water into wine but he is a reliable player who gets the job done very well now that the defense doesn't have to rely on him.
Lukaku had a game free of his usual fuck ups and people are overreaching with their reactions to it. His last night's performance should be his mediocre default, not a shining exception. But credit when due, he scored and did well. Impressive shot as well.
Lautaro is slowly but surely getting stronger, had couple of impressive situations where he was surrounded by multiple Brescia players and managed to retain the ball. Not exactly impressing me but you can see that he is improving. Awesome albeit quite fortunate goal for us.
Brozovic his usual self, poor guy needs a rest but he will have to endure us wearing him out for quite a while to come. I really appreciate him doing away with his headless chicken moments of the past, nowadays he is very measured and coldblooded when the ball needs to be quickly pushed forward. I'm scared of him being injured more than anyone else.
Candreva... not great, not terrible, didn't notice anything worth mentioning regarding him. He seems to have great chemistry with Lukaku so I can tolerate him compared to before. Definitely brought into a shape of some sort of stability under Conte.

Conte bitching about lack of depth makes little sense, he could've put Bastoni in and pushed Skriniar into DM for those last 20 minutes even. Unfortunately Conte seems to lack flexibility in terms of formation and that will be a major thing holding us back. I appreciate all that he is doing and generally agree with his decisions and tactics, but it's a shame that this far into his managerial career he still lacks the key skill of adapting and overcoming when the situation dictates so.

godin played well and bounced back from poor parma performance

gags was not good and is just a very basic player, fiorentina level although i am haopy he is playing better and working hard, maybe conte can still improve him further i dunno

skrinniar as a dm? come on stretching to diss conte their mate

For me, I was just disgusted about how non existent our midfield was, inmost of the game it was defence to attackers passing, and long balls, so many long balls!

It was a painful and dull match to watch!

Does this really still upset any Inter fan? I never take Balotelli seriously.

It was not a good game, but neither was it as bad as some would like to make it look.

We were in control for the whole first half, but Brescia's ultra defensive setup and a general lack of sharpness on our part prevented us from creating chances. Brescia came out strong in the second half and put us on the back foot, exploiting the fact that several of our players didn't seem capable of keeping up with the higher tempo imposed by our opponents. All in all, I'd say we managed to defend in a (rather) orderly manner, blocking the centre and forcing them to attack down the wings, even though Handanovic had to step up on a few occasions to resolve tricky situations inside our 6-yard box.

The Slovenian was clearly the MotM, parrying everything he humanly could and only succumbing to friendly fire. Our defenders were OK, I guess, especially considering that the midfield couldn't always provide the required covering. I must say that Skriniar has been looking quite nervous in the last few weeks and yesterday he made a few too many silly fouls near the edge of our box. He also scored an own goal, but we can't really hold that against him. De Vrij was composed as usual, even though he's partly responsible on their goal. Lastly, Godin was good, but he's clearly getting more and more reliant on a mix of garra and experience to make up for his declining physique.

Candreva and Asamoah were average at best, as they weren't able to stretch Brescia's tight defence in the first half when the rondinelle were bunked up in their final third. They were also less than convincing when it was time to defend in the last 45 minutes, even though it must be said that we "decided" to force Brescia to attack down the flanks. Sabelli in particular looked like a man possessed in the second half. Biraghi didn't have time to show anything, he just hoofed the ball away whenever he could.

The midfield was the real letdown of today's game. Both Barella and Brozovic looked exhausted - understandably so - and struggled to keep up with their direct opponents when Brescia upped the tempo of the game. The result was that we let Tonali [he's not ready to be a starter, but he could definitely be a valid rotation option for us. Doubt Cellino would sell him in January, though] take control and moved at least 30m back. Gagliardini was a little bit livelier than his teammates, but nothing extra ordinary. Anyway, the general tiredness of our midfielders, and the lack of viable options from the bench is my main concern at the moment. Conte is right in his analysis of the situation, but he still needs to include more men in the rotations. Anyway, let's pray Beppe&Pierino have already readied a plan for the upcoming mercato.

Both our forwards scored from outside the box today. Nice. Lautaro's goal was a stroke of luck to be honest, whereas Lukaku's was actually a brilliant strike. As for their performances, I believe they were decent overall, even though they couldn't really find a way to unlock Brescia's deep defence in the first half and were not always able to hold the ball up in order to allow the team to take a breath in the second. Esposito was subbed in towards the end and couldn't do anything beside running after Brescia players. I'd venture to say that he's surpassed Politano in the pecking order.

Balotelli to the Inter fans

I was at the stadium yesterday and must say that I understand his reaction (even though it might cost him a few games ban). He was insulted and jeered at by our fans throughout the match. I didn't partake in any chant against him firstly because I'm a gentleman (even though I may have occasionally insulted Brescia, its population and half the female relatives of their players during the course of the evening) and secondly because it's been 10 years since that famous incident. We still won that game (and the cup), he fucked off and wasted his career. Couldn't we just forget about him and move on?

remember that Tonali's contract is going to expire in 2021, so Brescia will be forced to sell him next summer, I think the price will be about 40 millions euro.

assuming he doesn't cave to his hometown club and renew

I think he and Brescia itself know that his future lies elsewhere. He'll be gone in the summer IMO

Tired looking performance especially in the 2nd half but it's an important 3 points. What a strike by Rom though. More of those please.

Tonali was good. Much much better than a player his age has the right to be. He like Barella have massive egos, captain and leadership mentality...

Don't think big clubs will let us have him, not unless he loves us like Barella did.

Question: How are assists officially measured? If I check livescore, it says the goals we scored were not assisted, however, one could argue they were assists for De Vrij (meaning 3 assists in last 3 starts) and Gagliardini. Do they get the assists or not, officially?

He was right, those idiots were chanting about his dead mother.

They were indeed chanting about his mother, but she is not dead. They also chanted: "Se saltelli, muore Balotelli", "if you jump, Balotelli dies" (in Italian it rhymes).

One might argue our fans chanting against him are being immature or disrespectful or unnecessary.

What I'm sure of though, is that the prick doesn't even realise that the fans wouldn't act like that towards him if he hadn't been a massive fucking cunt to begin with.

- Come on in a Champions League semi-final and can't even be assed to run
- Constantly provoke the fans with unnecessary goading like wearing the Milan jersey etc.
- Just always carrying himself like a foul mannered, ill-tempered prick, single-handedly trying to ruin a great dressing room atmosphere
- Horrendous attitude towards the club after leaving
- and many more.

To be fair, I get that he's conditioned by everything he's experienced, including the racial abuse starting from when he was just 16 in Lumezzane. I think it's fair and natural for him to have a chip on his shoulder. But you need to overcome that shit or you'll end up stewing in your own resentment and ruining yourself. Balotelli has never grown bigger than the chip on his shoulder. Even when things were good, he invented a chip and sulked and sabotaged and threw fits like a hormonal bitch, in spite of the all the support he was getting from fans and legends like Zanetti and Mourinho. I feel like his derision for our club is so blatantly palpable, and worse, it's self-made, self-enforced, and he doesn't have the maturity to even see it. For that, he can get fucked. Some players, even if their time at the club was shit, or ends on a sour note, I hold no bad feelings towards after all is said and done. But Balotelli deserves all the shit he can eat.

"Se saltelli muore Balotelli" is a famous chant. It's anyway he's fault if fans hate him, he did all in past to get hated, that's the result at the end.
