Come on man with all due respect for the Pope I think the games should have continued.

I know this guy has a huge status in the world and that he is done some great great things. I as a Muslim even admire him but they played on after 11th of september, in fact on that same day with the twin towers they played cl I remember. Also they played when the Tsunami happened so why stop now ?? Are those happenings less meaningfull ??

Anyway man May God bless the guy and let him rest in peace :star: cause he was a very important man in this world.

If they love him so much they could have shown some respect.

He's not just the Pope, he's a human being. He's an old man who should have had a chance to die with dignity.

Instead, they put him on display like a piece of meat last week from the S Pietro's church window, the poor man couldn't even speak.

Now on TV there's a news report everytime he sneezes. The man is dying, the Vaticano should have taken him somewhere without saying where and let him die without news coverage.

And stopping the sport events is just stupid, he would have been the first person to say "life goes on".

The whole event is really sad. I couldn't agree with the Pope on anything but I've been feeling sorry for him during the last 10 years, the rule that the Pope must be the Pope for life is just MORONIC, he should have had the chance to retire and live his last years peacefully.

Yet another hypocrisy from the Catholic Church.

Personally the whole Italian world stopping due to the death of 1 man is sort of silly. Thousands of people die every day but it seems the death of one man overshadows that of every other.

Back to football I guess it's sort of good that the games are canceled. Now Cordoba and Martins won't have to play and the chance of them getting hurt is lessened. Hopefully this also gives some time for everyone to be fully rested for Wednesday's all important encounter.

What a timing by the Calcio to postpone the games ?? Or was it anotehr move of our cousin - Galliani ?? So that our players will be atleast a bitttt tired ?? :p - Conspiracy Theory :D

Everybody knew that POPE's health was not good at all, but Calcio changing their decisions in just a day is kinda

Anyway, Milan ... here we come ... :fero:

When will this match be postponed to? Next week? But it's a good thing that the match is delayed, as it gives us more time to rest and prepare for the Euroderby. :fero:

Well, I totally agree with the desicion. Pope is Pope. BUT this should have made yesterday. Inter made a trip with no reason now. Milan didn't.

With respect to the Pope, but are they out of their minds?

They should've decided that yesterday not today. They said that games will be played and now they changed. Screw Lega Calcio, I am just restraining myself from using foul language for a dying man.

Idiots, why wait until today when the game has travelled already? Pathetic organization.

Also, the media are just capitalizing on a dying man and ripping him of his dignity. I can't go to the internet or TV until I get an updat on him. Let him die in dignity and then announce his death, instead of going organ by organ. This is really disrespectful, but it's the media after all, they exploit anything.

I also don't like the idea of postponing games for death. If you do it once, why not do it all the time? Separate sports from other things, they are just trying to show that they care when they are nothing but bunch of lying thieves.

I'm really livid now, stupid Lega Calcio. I hope this is the last decision you ever make, go and jump on the sea and do us all a favour.

I totally agree with you and with the decision overall, but certainly not the timing of it!

God Bless the Pope

Actually its a good thing that they won't play, that way Inter could concentrate on the derby with Mulan.

Problem with the Milan game, is that both teams will have relatively little match-training than usual. Of course they will be fit and all. But with the huge amount of "vacation", we can expect the first 20-30 minutes in the derby to be crap.

I don't care if the game is crap or not, I will be happy if we win even with an own goal scored by the Mulan's defense and 0 shots toward their goal.
