While Bild and other papers are saying that Inter is the first choice, Sport 1 (a famous TV channel in Germany) said that the 5M offer for Schalke is just a joke considering that Höwedes is a good defender. Well, you know, German hates Italian people specialy when it comes to football

I don't see a reason to worry about his age. He's at his prime age for a defender and costs almost nothing. We need an experienced defender with immediate effect to cover the roles that he can play in. Miranda is probably leaving next season and we need an immediate replacement. Howedes fits the criteria imo.

I think that he'll find plenty of playing time since he can cover multiple roles and we're incredibly short in quality in almost every defensive position.

Inter, join Juventus for Schalke's Howedes while waiting for Manchester City's Mangala: the situation

There is a bidding war emerging for Schalke defender Benedikt Howedes. Spartak Moscow has already offered 9 million euros for the defender to the German club. I live in germany and a lot of people says that Bild has a good conection when it comes to football news. I trust more Sky and Bild so at the moment i think its Derby D´Italia for Höwedes.
