Doesn't matter how shitty barella and lukaku play in the game, they'll never be substituted.

Anyway, his sub got us the much needed 3 points, move on to the next one.

I understood his subs, but it's still so...predictable.

For our rivals, securing the point is an obsession; for us it’s a dream.

I thought lukaku was good in the game, Martinez had been running around like crazy so was only taken off to get fresh energy on the pitch.

Lukaku our worst player in last 3 games in my opinion, toro work his ass off while lukaku jugging and wait for the balls come to him, toro doing a really good run also, he was so unlucky today and last game too..
You could see conte scream at him too when lukaku no even try to run the ball and just stand thher like a fucking pricness...

We really sucked in this match. That can't be said from any match past 6 months or something.

We didn't have the match in our control in almost any periods of the match. We were like surviving there. Lack of movement was terrible which allowed Verona to just press and force us to do bad plays.

Don't have one.
I honestly think our recent form is more on players than conte. We have to remember most of them didn't won jack shit in their career so far let alone fuckin scudetto, including our so called main players like lukaku, barella, hell i can mentioned the whole team. Hopefully this will alleviate some of the pressure, so we can finish the season strong.

Honestly i don't know what's the issue. Has he been figured out from other coaches? Is it a matter of bad form for some of our top players? Is it a mentality issue the closer we get to Scudetto? Whatever it is we have been pretty bad since Genoa game and we need to work on it. We will wn the Scudetto but this way of playing isn't sustainable in the long term. We need to improve next season.

Sadly he showed once again his usual weaknesses. No backup plan when things aren't working, no risks with his subs and full defensive mode the moment we score.

I understand your concerns and all of them are objective. But I still believe is a drop of form from some top players (Lukaku, Barella). But also 2 observations
We have a long period when we played a pretty good blend of football (ironically in winter, when we were shit in the last years).
Even when we play bad (I can say atrocious if I take this game and against Sassuolo), we are a cohesive group who know how to defend. And by that I don't mean the CB, who are excellent, but the team as a whole know how to defend. Don't forget our last 2 draws were because of Handa's brain farts. Otherwise we are top at defending.
At the end of the day, we all know: the big teams win even when they play like shit. We proved that in the last games. And Conte has the biggest contribution.

I don't think that we were poor against Cagliari, Napoli and Spezia. For other games i'm agree that the performance could be described as ugly. His second subs today were abysmal - 5G and DD for Hakimi and Brozo. We've lost the chemistry almost immediately and thanks to God, that Verona was shit and couldn't score.
Anyway for the first days of COnte here, i've been reading that he has only one plan and this plan has already been figured out by the other coaches.
At the end of the day, we are few points away of winning our first scudetto in a decade, breaking jubentus' hegemony in Italy. It's not bad for a predictable guy like COnte.

Guy is basically Spaletti on steroids..and hair suplement.

Reminds me of what Barca fans called us when we won the Treble.

Mourinho's football when you compare with our football today against Verona looks like watching Brasil from 1970 World cup. We are like Greece in 2004 but on steroids. Greece played against big teams and we play this static, ultradefensive, rigid, one dimensional alibi shitball against allmighty Verona and Cagliari. Disgusting.

I agree that we didn't play bad against those teams. We even dominated them for some extent (specially Cagliari and Spezia).

Today Conte defaulted back to being a typical pussy Italian coach. Subbing in the defence forces (Gagliardini and D'Ambrosio) which immediately resulted in our inability to keep that much possession anymore. I even remember these two fucking IDIOTS lost the ball in the injury time after we just had taken the ball from Verona. It should have been a relief and a possession for us but no, team had to switch back to defending and actually chase the ball as the attack seemed at least semi-dangerous from the giveway.

Just one example but this defence-first mentality at the end part of matches by subbing in more defensive oriented players is simply not a great tactic. Because our guys coming in are not some bonafide-players. We managed this time and have managed pretty well in these situations but it has created good amount of panic also (Roma, Parma, Torino out of my hat comes to my mind). This is the point where we need to really improve, keep control of the game till the last seconds by playing our game and not just defaulting to full-defend-mode.

Anyway, all that is irrelevant AT THE MOMENT. Because we are sailing to the Scudetto and this guy deserves all the credit.

We're gonna sew that Scudetto badge this year for various reasons, some to Conte's credit, which at the moment is the only thing that matters... but this is unsustainable. Hopefully it's going to be considered during the summer otherwise this is just an outlier season.

Yes, we not gonna make it next season if we continue exactly like this. Can't do it in two competitions.

But I find it extremely unlikely Conte wouldn't know this and will figure out something with his coaching staff in the summer. Obviously we need more depth too.

Based on what you both have these statements?

Can't continue like this? Like what? Dry games? It's like people forget so quick how titles are won. Last season I can put my life on the line and say that Juve had at least 5 VERY VERY VERY questionable var decisive victories, and at least that many dumb luck wins.

Also, something that we all can relate. The triplete season for us with Mou, we had some stupid wins to get us there, we barely got out of the group, barely. We didn't have flawless 5:0 wins till the Bayern match.

These things are normal, we won't remember any of these dry games. And that's perfectly normal.

We will remember the partnership with Lukaku and Lautaro, the jump in quality of Barella, the new Eriksen, our three defenders, and shit ton of positivities this season. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying we don't need improvement, but the situation is quite "normal", it is not tragic. We can still win the title next season with 2/3 new buys, two of which can be depth players not starters.

Who are juve gonna buy so they challenge us? They have names not quality. Milan can't do shit, Napoli the same. We are in a superior position over them, in every possible aspect, bar finances :/

Idk I might be ultra optimistic, but if Conte stays I can clearly see us win couple of more titles. This team will only get better, the starters that we have are just going to get better, most of them aren't even close their prime years...

What do you mean "considered during the summer?"

Probably means that Conte and the coaching staff need to come up with new stuff for the next season so that we have options for how to play. That it's not this 3-5-2 with same patterns, same stuff every match. IMO it's quite likely that will happen, at least I hope so. Also this type of football won't cut it in CL anyway so we need different approach there anyway, more European approach.
