It's not over yet. We are extremely fortunate that at least in Serie A, the competition is weak, inconsistent, and shit. All it takes is a little momentum and our talent will be enough to power through.

We are not competing against Allegri's Juve machine, or Sarri's Napoli machine, or even Rudi Garcia's/Spallo's Roma team.

Fucking BBilan is top of the league. That's how shit serie A is.
Same is kind of true for CL one win against RM and we re right back in it.

I'll be surprised if he lasts until Christmas. Another couple of seasons through the shredder.
That's exactly what I think too. I can't wait for getting rid of this heavy juve garbage.

Even a draw against RM would keep us alive. That's how pathetic the group is.

Despite admit Conte has done a poor job this season, I would prefer we spend that 26m+ (gross salary) elsewhere instead of firing him.

If we have that much money, buy some serious left wingback and striker ffs. Even a midfielder. Not rely the whole season on Perisic, 35yo Young, washed-out Nainggolan Sanchez or glassman Sensi, or beggars/ bandage deals Kolarov Darmian.

We are broke. Firing Conte makes the situation even worse.

Today is a great day. Trump is losing. The only thing that can make it better is Conte getting sacked or Gagliardini retiring.

A left wingback and a striker aren't going to fix the mess that's been happening in defense. People keep focusing on the attack and the chances we miss but that's hardly the problem. Could we have scored more? Sure we could and there's always room for improvement. But that's not the issue. Even without Lukaku and Sanchez, we still managed to score 2 goals against Real Madrid. The problem is once again we conceded and we had to score 3-4 goals in order to get a result. And this isn't a one-time thing. It happens in almost every game.

Anyway, Suning were very strict last summer about their policy. We need to sell before buy and i am not expecting that to change in January. With or without Conte.

If we have better attacking quality and score the first goal(s) early, we don’t need to push the formation nearly as high, automatically resulting in better defense. If you look closely to our failures recently, they followed exactly the same pattern: we dominated to match, but end product was shit, we pushed for goals, got tired and got punished by the huge gap behind.

Gervinho didnt score brace if we sit back. Period. Only when he had 1/4 pitch between last player and Handanovic.

Milan showed the opposite example: they unlocked the match very early with Ibra excellence, either with goals or assists, relax safely. Do they have better defenders than us? Romagnoli Kjaer Gabbia etc? No. But they have far better defensive record.

We were up 2-1 against Fiorentina and continued to play with our lines so highly. We were totally dominating against Benevento and yet we were conceding chances in the second half with the score at 4-1. We conceded against Gladbach after going up 1-0. Even when we were trying to defend the score against Real our lines remained high. It isn't about pushing for a goal, it's a tactical choice.

When the season ended we all saw the drama happening with Conte and the management. Judging by his antics this season it seems to me Conte wanted to leave and now he has lost his 'fire'.
He just doesn't seem into it and it translates onto the players who also show a lack of grit and determination....

If we drop points to Atalanta then this thing officially is in a full-blown tailspin. Sackable form. If he scrapes 3 points then maybe we can salvage the season.

What grit and determination did we show last season? Most big games, we folded. Twice v Juve. Dortmund. Barca. Napoli Coppa. Sevilla final. You can argue the Atalanta game was probably the only game we didn't fold.

So basically we never had safe enough gap (>=2 goals) to sit back, hence we conceded. My point still stands. We could have finished the match way earlier if we had more quality in attack.

Our defense was best in Serie A just last season. Don't think Godin's departure alone could deteriorate quality that much, more or less we have the same people. Conte is just sacrificing defense for attack, but our current attacking force isn't good enough. At least, in depth.

Real subbed in Rodrygo & Vicinius for Asensio & Hazard to turn the tide, while we...a winger-as-striker on the field, a limping and a Serie B striker on the bench, that's it.

Inter Management Still Have Full Confidence In Antonio Conte Despite Poor Form Italian Media Claim

Inter management continue to have full confidence in Inter manager Antonio Conte despite the Nerazzurri’s worse than expected start to the 2020/21 campaign according to a report from the online edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

Inter have won just three of their nine games played across all competitions to date and have won just one of their last seven games, something which has complicated life for them both in Serie A and the Champions League.

Inter are in sixth place in the Serie A standings, five points adrift of league leaders AC Milan and they are also bottom of their Champions League group at the half way stage.

As per this report, Inter president Steven Zhang, Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta and everyone else who makes up the club’s management have full confidence in Conte despite the form and have the belief that the current moment will pass. The hope is that the moment will end on Sunday in Bergamo against Atalanta.
