Exactly my thoughts. He's a good player indeed, but I'm voting on my expectation for him under Mancini's system. I was also very generous when I gave him 7. I think he'll do worse. If we have a different coach/system then I would've given him a better vote.

See I agree with your coach and system part, though Candreva is the type of player Mancini relies on. Has the ability to beat players himself, make chances out of nothing and score goals. Makes me think he'll be a very successful player in Mancinis 'system'.

I was torn between giving him a 7 or an 8: not because of the player, who totally deserves an 8 and maybe an 8 and a half; not because of Mancini either. But because he is 29 and plays as a winger and I don't know how he will age. I decided to give him credit and opted for an 8.

Exactly. Candreva is perfect for Mancini's 'system', that is the entire reason why Inter have bought him. Also he is a player specifically requested by the coach, and not one forced upon the coach by Ausilio. I think that also makes a big difference... like it did with Perisic. If Perisic had been a player Ausilio had forced upon Mancini, then he wouldn't have got a game after a poor first 6 months.

After very long negotiations, Candreva is finally an Inter player after landing in Milan and completing the pre-passage rites on Wednesday morning. Candreva however was very keen on saluting Lazio fans with an instagram post, this is the message he posted alongside a picture of him under the curva nord: 'It's been a fantastic and unforgettable 4 and a half years. I'd like to thank all the people that walked alongside me in this incredible journey, but I would especially like to thank YOU Lazio fans. OK I've been going nuts over this age thing, because 29 doesn't seem old to me. So did some basic research. Turns out the number of Premier League players selected to the PFA team of the year drops MAJORLY after age 30.
