Lazio were also dumb in that they wouldn't let Pandev train with the squad. If they had let him train and take part in all the normal team stuff but simply benched him for matches for 'technical reasons' they almost certainly would have been fine.

They don't want him for double price. They are backing down in front of the asking price.

This is the thing which will break Shakhtar's threats to Trubin. That he will be on the bench for the whole season if he doesn't accept a move. If there's no move available because the asking price is too high, it's an empty threat without any argument.

I don't think this is over yet. AFAIK our offer is 12m (maybe some resale % I don't know).

Disappointing but it is what it is. Let’s be real here though: Inzaghi didn’t even play Onana from the start last season. And he was an experienced keeper. Trubin is 22. He’d be lucky to get in a Coppa Italia fixture behind Sommer.

Oh well, it turned into a weird situation anyway, the 40% thing is crazy. Inter figures they can survive 2 yrs with Sommer, I guess. Need to invest some monies earmarked for Trubin into defensive depth.
