For financial experts, does my thought regarding how sanchez's salary make sense?

1. He makes 500k a week which translates to 26m a year gross with 45% tax rate in UK, he basically had 14m a year net to take home at Man Utd.

2. Now that at inter hes only taking 7m a year net. With the foreign law where only 50% of the income is taxable at 43-45%, inter is paying him at 9-10m gross give and take (fucking great deal)

3. He had 2 years contract left which made it 28m net total and he's basically losing 7m (28m-21m at inter) and a possible 3rd year contract from other team?

Is this right?

That 2. point is we've been figuring out with browha for some time. Is Sanchez applicable for Growth Decree or not. We concluded he's not.

Always liked him as a player. Hope he lives up, and wins with us.

Yeah I like him a lot as well. I think he recognizes he made a mistake from a sporting perspective opting for Mou & United over Pep & City but I suspect it was ultimately more a question of landing a significant payday. In hindsight, he might've done things differently I wager

Serie A works well for him and fans will love him

One year loan with ManU paid most of the salary then acquiring permanently for FREE with salary cut. For a former world class striker. What a masterpiece. Marotta is a beast :epicwin:

Man United is definitely paying something from their end. That was their agreement with Alexis' agent in case he was let go.

The issue is that they cannot release him of his contract as that would make our loan deal void, hence he could not participate in the remaining EL games.
So the details should surface after the window is officially open or at least after our games end.

It wasn't up to him, he was sold by his club and he had to wait until the season was over to talk with City. Otherwise he'd probably have joined Inter or Juventus on a Bosman.

And, as much as we need him, we must not repeat MU's mistake by destroying their entire wage structure for one player, let alone for the aging player who heavily relies on speed.
I'm not sure this is actually true.

Not sure which era you think we're in but slavery no longer legal. Player absolutely has a say in where he goes

Not sure what kind of brainwaves you're picking up, but there was no mention of slavery.

Sanchez didn't want to join Man Utd, but it was his only choice. Presented with a 20m salary. He took it. He regrets it, hence why he's here now.

First he had no choice, now the story it was his only choice? What's next?

City indeed approached the player but as soon as his salary demands were rebuffed in favor of bigger wages, City did not budge. So, he had a choice - he chose money over project. Money he lost out on ultimately anyway when the contract was rescinded to go to Inter

You said he had a choice to go to Man City, not me.

I said his only choice, because the club sold him to that one club, was Man Utd. He either had to accept or reject that move. Or stay at a place alienated, probably even frozen out, so that he could move to his desired destination. With much less money.

The money presented and being coached by Mourinho made his mind. It was also his only option if he wanted to move out of Arsenal as no one had placed a bid for him yet (on a Bosman).
Man City had not made a bid that Arsenal had accepted either.

Is this easier to comprehend now or should I take it several more notches down?

And indeed Alexis had a choice, not just to remain at Arsenal but either to take less money at City (But with better sporting project) or more money and worse sporting project at United. It's fairly simple yet you continue to confuse yourself

Or is it back to no choice again?

City option was that he signs as free agent in the summer, not to make a January move.

Arsenal had not accepted a bid from City and they were not willing to. As that would have cemented City as the absolute powrr in the PL and they thought they'd eventually pick up.

Woodward paid a shit load of money because this was the best PL player and he was afraid that he'd wait for a move to City in the summer...
