He may appear good at some things, but he lacks the basics a defender needs, especially in this age.

He's possibly the best matchup for Lukaku when it comes to a high ball in the middle of the pitch. That says a lot.

He's not very well aware of his surroundings.

Being big and strong is a plus, but if you cannot use that properly it becomes a liability. If he arrives, let's just say that he's going to be an...interesting project. But he's by no means starting material.

Koulibaly could very well be the same. We are surprised hoe good are the grandpas in Simone`s system. And Koulibaly is not an oldie of 34 or 35 years old. He could have a few good years of high level under his belt. It could be one of the biggest surprise. Nothing is sure, but he check all the boxes.
