thats a good point. this is why I'm against so much disruption, and our transfer policy in the last decade (except recent years).

You sign people on future payment (loan+option), pay them too much, sign long contracts to spread their cost so it doesnt hit FFP in any one particular season, then get through coaches regularly too.

Successful, long term teams are built by developing or signing younger players, filling gaps as they come up, and letting amortisation/etc decrease substantially so you plusvalenza easily if you ever need to sell, OR you have a lot cost basis for doing business going forwards, meaning you have a higher transfer budget when you need to spend.

Raspadori is a really exciting player. He’d cost a fortune though.

Esposito is way too raw to bring anything to the table right now. He needs several more years plying his trade elsewhere.

I'd be satisfied if we take Caicedo for Lukaku's back up and Raspadori in case that Lautaro leaves + Sanchez stays.
All of this on a reasonable price of course.

Finally seeing us with links to Santo Borre of River who is a free agent. He will be at Copa America but is Colombia’s 4th choice striker.

Think he is a solid sub for us and can be gotten cheap. Worst case scenario he can be used as a chip for a starter in the future. Lazio, Villarreal are the other two teams very interested in him
