Spalletti has surely told before the summer who and/or what kind of players he wants. I don't buy this suggested scenario that Ausilio had gone lone wolf, pulling off Vidal deal like this (after it's been in media we're still negotiating with Bayern and Vidal), THEN asks Spalletti "how about Vidal" only to get rejected "nah, I want regista".
