"competent manager" (who are they? Tuchel, Enrique, pochetino?) most likely won't accept mid season job offer. Best case scenario you'll get the likes of di francesco or gattuso which I'm not sure will be a better option than inzaghi.
We aren't exactly difficult to put coach so the bar is low when talking about inzaghi. Gattuso could easily have done what inzaghi has done in the league this season. It's the cups keeping inzaghi alive.

The games we have lost as well its not like we've left saying we dominated and were unlucky. We've just been fucking shit and have been for a while. I don't know how fans are happy with this.

Only thing that would save his ass is top 4, winning the copa and beating porto….and if we get lucky with the opponent we might make CL semis.

I would love to give the chance to Deki or Motta tho.

We have regressed in the attractive play that we showed glimpses last year.

It's too early for that comparison, but anyway:
Conte's champion season we got 91 points. Next season with Inzaghi we had 84, Wich is 7 less and is quite normal because the team got weakened. Now we have 47 points with 14 rounds to the end. Which means total of 89 points provided that we win all of our remaining fixtures. Something that we know cannot happen. Let's assume (optimistically) that we win 60% of our games and tie the others (no more losses). This will give us total of 77 points, which is with 7 less than last season. Following the trend, it seems that with Inzaghi, Inter is regressing a lot every season. And if stay positive and assume that we gonna make it in top 4 this season, it looks like the next one we will fight for 5-8 place with this pace.
We'll fight for 4th spot next season at best, but we might finish 5th or even 6th depending on who gets sold in the summer.

Yesterday kind of sealed his fate to me. It was just so predictable; we all knew it was coming. He just can’t keep a locker room, with our ambitions and management and egos, in check. He needs to deliver top 4, and that will be enough for me not to be bitter.

He’s delivered what he can. I’ve always thought he was an interesting young coach. He just perhaps lacks the ego necessary to keep these motherfuckers in check. Maybe he’ll get his flowers one day, but I don’t see him as the right man for inter in this moment.

He’s a Lazio level manager mostly getting Lazio level results. We just happen to have a bigger budget for players than Lazio hence the slightly better position in the table.

Under the Chinese, I think he’s safe for next season unless he completely bottles the current one. The club can’t afford the likes Simeone or Tuchel. At best, it’d be someone like Juric, who although I like, is a complete coin flip on how he’d do at a big club.

Well said. He is indeed a young coach so he can improve, but not here (at least not now, in these circumstances). With our luck he will coach Milan in 5 years and win a Scudetto with them like Pioli.

Thats cause this club will find another new Inzaghi to flop again. History repeats over and over.

If Inzaghi or whoever replaces him manages to reach top4, progress to knockouts in CL and win some cups here and there as long as Suning is here, it would be a miracle, but I don't see it.

The squad will get worse every window and our expectations will drop to EL spots, then Conference etc at least until Suning sell.

Biasin said if Inter decide to part ways with Inzaghi at the end of the season the prime candidate to replace him is Thiago Motta.

I like Motta as a player and part from Inter's treble team, but he hits me as a similar to Inzaghi coach. I think Inter needs primary а good motivator like Mourinho or even Gattuso.

Inter needs a fucking plan what they even wanna be. The new coach will also need a support from the owners, so that means money. Also, not every coach will wanna stick with a 3 man defense and will also wanna play with wingers, which means we would need 4 new players, 2 of which need to be starters and i dont think Inter can buy even 1. Its also time to stop buying players that are old as fuck, even if the coach wants them. Make the coach implement younger guys and dont get rid of them. This team should develop at least 1 young player every 2 seasons and give them a chance, even if they make a mistake in a game.
All in all, Inzaghi aint good for this job, no matter how many cups he wins. Its pathetic that this team already has 7 loses and one of the worst defenses in the league. Not making the top 4 should also not be a surprise with the way this team is playing. So, yea, either win the champions league or its time to go... and if its me i'd fire him even then.

We are second and have a good chance to advance to the quarters in the CL...
All this while Brozo and Lukaku have been out injured for most part of the season.....(Hypothetical i know but take lukaku and brozo away from conte for 4 months and we aint winning that scudetto)
Firing Inzaghi at this point would be fucken insane...

Yes i m pissed at our performances yes we should do better but in no way shape or form should we fire inzaghi.
Maybe at the end of the season but even then i dont see how we get somebody better.

So should we fire him and add a third reject to win, and blame the newly hired?

They are all better coaches than Inzaghi. Including Mourinho, Sarri or Allegri. It was daylight clear from the beginning... but people here had a soft spot for him as he is the Inter coach.

Inter squad is worse than last year but the gap not as big as 18 point off top. Period.

You know why? Because Napoli is having a historical season. It's more their goodness than our badness the difference is 18 points. Look at the other rivals, they have problems too and are 18 points behind (or more).

I don't think anyone has a problem with firing Inzaghi but the replacement has to be better, not different, better. Zerbi best place finish is 8th. How many times has Juric been fired? Has Motta completed a season with a team yet lol. In his first serie a season inzaghi finished 5th in the league and reached rhe coppa final. The following season he beat Juve in the super coppa. All the alternatives are basically downgrades which is unacceptable for Inter. Let's have a plan guys, not act out of desperation.

It's both. Napoli are having a great season but we have managed to lose 7 times in a season. 7 losses is bad no matter how you slice it...
