Who would you keep for next season?

Sure I agree, but we're past that phase now. We can build like that into the future, but right now we're stuck with what we have. We can try to sell them, sure. But who's going to buy them and pay their wages? I wouldn't tbh

That's why I believe this will be the most important mercato in a couple of years as we'll finally have the chance to cut down less useful players without paying huge contract penalties.

Looks like everyone wants Kova to stay. I get that. But if we get a ridiculous offer for him (Eur 25m+), I would sell him.

Because, like it or not, Kova is wasted as a Shaqiri understudy. As an AM, I would prefer Shaqiri any day of the week. Which means that we either find Kova a role deeper in the midfield, which is unlikely to happen under Mancini, or we sell him to improve our much needed transfer kitty. If we sell Kova for 25m+, we can get a quality replacement for about 10m (Davy Klaassen anyone?). The rest of the money can help us fund a winger or a fullback.

Ditto Hernanes. Unless Mancini can find him a role in the midfield, lets not waste him on the bench. Even today he can fetch us some money (10m?) and reduce our wage bill quite a bit.

This probably will not be a popular view at FIF... I love Kova too, I just love Inter much more.

Yes I agree that Hernanes should leave, but Kova shouldn't. Mancio always want to use 4-2-3-1, and he changed to 4-3-1-2 just because Podolski flopped badly.
Next season we will try to get a new winger (Ayew?), and there will be places for both Kova (AMC) and Shaqiri (AMR).

I'd like for us to sell everyone but this isn't fifa and won't happen.only player I want to keep are Icardi but a 30+ million euro offer and I'll fly to Italy and help him pack.

We are a mid table team enough with this lets get a bunch of players in their decline and throw money at the problem.

Also for all the love for Shaq he really hasn't done much for us either. He isn't too expensive but still people need to stop over rating all our guys

If we play 4-2-3-1 next season I think we will see Shaqiri occupy the RW spot primarily. It's the only spot that really makes sense if we want to play Kovacic. I don't want to see him shunted out to the LW postion.

I really wish we would just play a damn 4-3-3 with an anchor and 2 CM's. It fits Brozovic and Kovacic better, we just need that anchor to be a good passer.

FB - Santon, D'Ambrosio, Nagatomo + signing (Kolarov would be nice, play him LB and shift Santon over)
CM - Medel, Guarin, Kova, Hernanes, Shaqiri, Toulalan, Brozovic. (need more CMs for the system)
FW - Icardi, Palacio, Puscas + Lacazette (unlikely)/Dybala/Jovetic? Maybe add Bonazzoli

Have I missed anyone apart from all the young players on loan (that probably won't be in immediate plans)?

If Mancini can't find a home for Kovacic, even Mazzarri did, then might as well look for a coach. I wouldn't make a mistake for a coach that 6 months later might not even be here anymore. If inter sell Kovacic they will regret it.
