yea, Samuel had flown back to Argentina to have treatment and test it seems. Channel 4 also say there are chances that he could be out for the season.

Reminds me of a Lucio (Brazilian CB at Bayern) incident a couple of years ago...not sure for club or country or against which team. Got smacked straight in the head but still ran after the ball and then collapsed when the ball was cleared.

Like wittmann said his recovery time will greatly depend on how much of the surrounding tissue and ligaments were damaged in addition to how successful the surgery is in repairing the damage.

actually, ACL joints dont screw with ur walking or running, as long as its in a straight line i think

u just cant turn, or put any weight on ur sides and in football, that means a very long layoff

Of that I am well aware. I was just commenting on what a trooper he is to walk off the dressing room by himself. I've seen many players with the same injury get helped off the pitch/ice/playing field nearly in tears.

on the point of ACL joints, it does depend on the amount of ligament damaged and able to be repaired during surgery

they say hes gone for the season, im more inclined to say hes gone for at the very least 8 months and won't make his return until well into next season
