It was a stone cold elimination! Who gives a shit?!! I didn't watch the game. I was watching Liverpool-Barcelona and Barcelona was more than enough Dissapointing to let me feel ok about Inter lose!!! But It seems we had some incredible incidents at the end of the match!! MAN...TOO BAD! Wish I were there! Wish everyone of us were there!! You know it's the best thing for some of us to show many ones how have to play!!

the way Burdisso ran towards Marchena was amazing, I have gained respect for him since watching the footage, he was a man on a mission.

also, imagine if Vieira & Adriano were there, Adriano hates Valencia and Vieira loves a fight, things would've been incredible.

just saw the footage again, is Ibrahimovic going at Quique Flores????

just saw the footage again x2, and Marchena was scared for his life.

For those who blame Mancini:

You're Inter coach. Vieira, Cambiasso, Adriano and Recoba are injuried. Dacourt and Stankovic were playing injuried. You have an old Figo, Solari, and oh yeah! you have Mariano Gonzales!

Under all these circumstances, you have to win in Valencia.

What would you do?

You don't know? then SHUT UP.

We can only win against easy teams?

Do you know anything about football?

Did you see Roma yesterday? This is the team that we're 16 points away from.

Ibrahimovic can only play well against Torino and Catania?

Are you stupid?

Did you see Milan X Inter and Roma X Inter?

We had two weeks full of games on Sundays and Wednesdays, and right now, we have the derby in 4 days, and we're missing atleast 5 of our key players.

Have you thought about all that?

I doubt.

a 1000 things could be said about this match and how it could be also said that we played better than we did in Villareal. Well, that logically, is true, but this also was truly another shame.

Hal, you defended mancini by saying that burdisso was good choice to keep Valencia at bay...fine. But, this is a game lost if we are going to wait till the 2nd half. Plus, we are not the tactical type of team that chooses timings and knows how to consume opponents according to the game. There was zero soul today...again..from the beginning of the game, we should have attacked them like crazy. Nobody was pushing beyond their limits. Ibra and Crespo were awfully isolated. I wont attack individuals here, because this is a game where the whole team must step up to the occasion.

From the beginning you could see we were depending on free kicks and went in with the wrong spirit. They have a coach that has enough IQ to notice that inter as a team, gets a lot of goals from dead balls. We should have kept the ball at faster pace and when we saw first touch passes, it was noticable that we are finally starting a decent play. But over all, all i saw was getting to the top of the field and passing back.

This was a game to win whether Valencia could counter us or not, we had to get the first goal and then play safe..Maxwell should have been used up instead of Dacout( reported hes not fit) since we need to win. Figo, Solari or Mariano could have been used...played from the start, whoever and however bad they previously were. We are short in supply to demand standards.

Overall, so we lost the game and media and people are gonna have a field day saying how we are only first cause of bla bla bla, but thats all nonsense. We all saw the games and we all saw how we played. So, only us as fans should believe in that and learn how to block what others think of us....look at juventinos...they did a damn good job in it.

Forza Inter anyways, year in year out, what matters is we show pride and thats where we are the best in the world, thats regarding the fight ofcourse.

Ibra and Crespo isolated? Thats because we didn't have a midfield.

Zanetti + Dacourt (not fit) + Burdisso. Do you realy think that those players can create chances and support the strikers? :undecide:

And Stankovic, he's not a creative player at all. He's a team player, he needs some creative midfielders around him in order to perform well. Stankovic is not Ronaldinho. He's a different player.

And about playing Maxwell instead of Dacourt, who's going to play as a LB? Grosso? Only if we want to build streets for Angulo and Miguel on the left flank.

we should have attacked them like crazy

We couldn't do that. We didn't have any creative midfielder, no one.

Alteast one of Vieira or Cambiasso were needed. Only one would be enough to beat Valencia.

Cambiasso played in the first leg, and you saw how we outclassed them. Things had changed since Cambiasso's injury.

Yes, one player can affect the whole team if you're playing against a team like Valencia.

Remember what happened in the last derby when we lost Materazzi? One player makes a big difference. Yesterday we missed 4-5 players, not just one.

Valencia is truly a disgusting team. They are already high in my hate ranks because of their last game and them booing Oleguer, but the game last night has taken them even higher.
It's a pity the guys didn't hit them harder.

With all that said, if a better team gets knocked out by a shitty team, it has himself to blame and because of letting away the win last time, it's also partly Inter's fault. Apart of that, your injury worries were indeed bad luck, as the game would have been MUCH different with Vieira in the team.

Hope you take care of Milan and Gordo on weekend..
It's a real pity that Inter is out...because Valencia is just shit and didn't really deserve it.

btw it all started by Carlos Marchena kicking Burdisso. So really they have themselves to blame.

****ing marchena....one of the biggest bastards in spain, and with roberto carlos, dopavarro, emerson and others around, it really means a lot.

But I don't see Mancini's intention of putting Burdisso on the midfield. Why not Maxwell there and burdisso at the back :wallbang:
I think Ibra did what he could, 2-3 men on him constantly but he managed to get in some good crosses in the second half, we could have scored on one of those:cry:

because maxwell has a good left foot

and we shouldve scored on those crosses from ibra, i still cant believe we missed all those chances to shoot first time

and i couldnt believe maicon sent that near post cross to cruz too high, all he had to do was keep it on the ground and that wouldve been an open goal

also i hope, that the ensuing bans that follow will cripple valencia until the round of 16 of CL next season

thats it you genious. If we had a better coach, we would have played a better game in the first leg, and wouldnt need to WIN IN VALENCIA.

4 players injured??? Didnt Valencia had the same problem in the first leg?? You are Flores, you have you dont have Delhorno, Vincente, Braja, an extremely crappy Joaquin. And players, that are not even half the quality that we have. And what do you do? You get 2 away goals at Sansiro, and make Mancini look like a fool.

And Roma, can be a very good team on thier day. Spalletti is the best manager in Italy. Their starting X1, is one of the best in the world, but just look at their reserves players. Thats why they will never have consistency to win in any good domestic league in Europe.

Oh I’m not surprised to hear that. I’m glad you confirm what became evident last night. A cunning bastard is what he is. :yuck: The same goes for that MF Navarro as well. :frustrat: I hope Toldone managed to give him a few blows in their locking room which I highly doubt as surely there were full of Valencia payers in there!

WTF?

Whats the difference between the first leg and the second?

Our players were injuried in BOTH games!

In fact, we were screwed more in the first legue. Cambiasso got injuried during the first half. Vieira was also injuried, Adriano was having a party, Dacourt was forced to play after having an injury in the back of his knee, just like Stankovic, and Maxwell wasn't there. Now how is the first leg better than second one?

Atleast in the second leg we had Maxwell.

Despite that, we played better in the first leg, and they were lucky enough to get away with only two goals scored on them.

Get real man, no other coach would do anything more with such injuries.

Delhorno, Vincente, Braja, an extremely crappy Joaquin.

Only two of the players you mentioned are starting players in Valencia. And they can be replaced.

lol @ Del Horno..

even Recoba played more than him.

This is where I blame him. The game in the San Siro should have been the catalyst for OUR qualification. We had the chance to be 2-0 or 3-0 up front in the first half, but we only had a 1-0, and he sat and waited for Valencia to attack us and they finally scored 2, because his first choice goalkeeper messed things up! He had a ready Adriano on the bench, and didn't use him just because he got drunk during his birthday party, which was 4 days before!(3 actually...it was an after-night party)

Still, you don't do that to your best player at the time(yes Adriano was our most in-form player that time) Mancini was asking for it and unfortunately FOR US, he got it. Do you think he cares as much as we do? If he had signed a contract, why do it before the crucial CL game and the Milan Derby? If I was him, and cared, I'd say in front of all, I have a contract, and I'll wait for after we qualify and after we beat Milan to sign it. Since he likes talking on the edge, that would suit a guy who cares about the team he works for.

And how can't Mancio be blamed for our first half performance? How can you give orders to keep your strength for the second half, when your opponent was doing the same facking thing? :lala:
Everyone was talking about Inter going on an all-out-attack formation, and what we saw was a soft edition of catenaccio, with Materazzi playing long balls and Deki being forced to give first touch long passes because he was always surrounded by 3! A coach wouldn't allow the other coach to toy around with his players. Some of our players got very tight marking, two at the time for each striker, and Mancio didnt have the decency of telling our fullbacks to attack, but "forced" them to stay back to save strength ffs! We had 90 minutes to turn things round, and Mancio wanted to spend the first 45!!! Talk about good coaching!

And yes, we didn't have our two DMs. So what? Neither did Valencia after Baraja got injured(he had just recovered) I thought we were the team with the great bench that everyone could replace everyone? Finally realise that this is a myth? One of the reasons I didn't want Vieira(he's been very good so far I have to admit) at Inter in the summer was that we wouldn't have sufficient back up, and now that he's out, Burdisso and Zanetti have to take his place:rolleyes:

Mancini ->USCITA!!

Great posts froma hal and adnan.but to be honest...i still think we should have started figo or solari either instead of burdisso or dacourt but as i said i dont blame mancini at all nor anything,i think we played our guts out and some players on the field were talking to much thinking about what to do.

Valencia villain Navarro issues apology

Valencia centre-back David Navarro has apologised for his role in the mass brawl which marred last night's Champions League match with Inter Milan

Navarro, who was a non-playing substitute in the goalless draw at the Mestalla, was involved in a post-match fracas that spilled over from the pitch and into the tunnel.

Navarro came onto the field following an altercation between Valencia midfielder Carlos Marchena and Inter's Nicolas Burdisso, and punched Burdisso.

Burdisso then fell to the ground, and it has been confirmed he suffered a broken nose.

That sparked a free-for-all, with some of the visiting team attempting to trip Navarro up as he ran off the pitch, while a handful of Inter players also tried to get into the Valencia changing room following the incident.

'I saw that they were trying to attack a team-mate, and I lost my nerve,' Navarro told Spanish radio station Cadena Ser.

'I have never behaved in this fashion before, and I will never do it again. I am very sorry and ashamed.'

Navarro, who intends to contact Burdisso to apologise in person, added: 'I have not yet been able to see the images (of the incident), nor the reaction of the Inter players in our changing room. I was in another room.

'It has been a lamentable incident. On Wednesday I want to apologise to those affected by my actions.'

Valencia coach Quique Sanchez Flores said about the incident: 'I hope that the punishment is minimal and affects us as little as possible.

'The tension of football generates these situations and affects our good sense.'

Valencia progressed through on the away goals rule following the 0-0 draw, having drawn 2-2 in the first leg of the last-16 tie in Italy.
