Part of me wants APOEL as they're easily the weakest opponent. Cluj would be the 2nd weakest. (They're ranked much lower than APOEL in UEFA's club rankings, but obviously those rankings are misleading.) Either way, drawing these teams would allow us to rotate our squad (to the highly limited extent that we can) and hopefully play some kids too.

As far as convenience goes, Frankfurt is the closest opponent, but I don't care to be knocked out by those shitters again. Either way, a handful of potential opponents are within 2 hrs flight from Milan so distance shouldn't be an issue. That said, with the reduced rest time between games, every hour is precious, and we have few hours to waste on a long flight. Obviously I'd prefer not to draw Donetsk for that reason (and others).

We got fucked with 2 consecutive CL groups of death. Fuck you, UEFA, give us an easy draw for this one.

Obviously it's Ludogorets I want us to draw. It's the 2nd time both teams can play each other in the competition I think, hope I get lucky and at least profit from Inter playing in the EL.

This tournament is the only realistic way Man Utd and Arsenal can qualify for the Champions League, so I think they are going to take this tournament very seriously. I think one of those two will win it.

Normally I would have wanted us to go the whole way and win the tournament for the same reason of CL qualification, but now that we should finish at least top 3 and have next CL's qualification realistically in the bag, I would rather we go out early and put all focus on the league. We also don't have the depth at all to compete, so should only be playing bench and primavera players.

If Barella and Sensi stay injured over most of the season, then that's a negative. United has a better bench than us so it would be easier for them to reach the final.

Gotta love how some of us claim here it is a "Mickey mouse competition", yet there are several opponents we would be likely to struggle against. Checking just the last 3 years EL winners: Manchester United, Atlético Madrid, Chelsea. Let's not act like it is some kind of a summer cup, how about proving first that we can easily win it, and talk about it afterward, not the way around.
