If Liverpool and Roma were able to go so deep in the CL this year sury means Europe is more open than it has been in many years. I don't see any outstanding sides, perhaps other than City but whether they can replicate their domestic form in Europe is the big question. A bit of investment and we should be hopeful of going well next year.

The other side of that though is the fear that with the level across Europe generally poor, next year could be the year where Juventus... I can't even finish that sentence.

Scenes when we go back into Europe for the first time in six years and win the Champions League while Juventus still hasn't won one without the aid of penalty kicks since 1985.

I fully believe we'll win another Champions League before Juve win one.

I think a mix. I actually think a group containing ourselves, PSG, Porto and CSKA is about as good as it could get. I would fancy us to have a chance against any of those sides but also they would all be testing. I think if we end up with Barcelona, Spurs and Schalke and we'd be right up against it. Alternatively, Lokomotiv, Basel and Ludogorets and we'd learn fuck all about where we are as a European team.

From an entertainment point of view, having top teams is great, but i'd rather we get as far as we could and with our team, the realistic way of that happening is by getting easier teams. Main reason being that it's important for us financially to progress as far as we can.

I wouldnt mind an English team though as I might go down and watch the game live.

There's an 86% chance they're getting a big team from Pot 1, and I'm fine with that. A proper big squad to have at San Siro would be appropriate. Hopefully the 2nd and 3rd pot teams are more manageable (or, if you want, getting Lokomotiv from Pot 1 and one of the top Pot 2 teams like Man Utd, that's also fine) and Inter has a legitimate chance at advancing and avoids getting stuck in a group of death. Besides, not really sure I want to be dealing with Europa League when it's all said and done and 3rd place in the group would trap us with that fate.

But, ideally, at least one top squad for marquee purposes.

Deffo would like Spurs, brother is a fan and some family members have season tickets so could quite easily go.

The last time Inter played in European competitions they got trashed by a bunch of teams I didn’t even know they existed. I want the group of death, Inter has a better chance of performing well against tougher teams.

For an odd reason which I can't explain, I would be quite happy to win the Europa League if we entered it through the Champions League. If we entered it through the league then I would want to get out of it straightaway. Bizarre thinking I know but can't explain it.

When we got beaten by Happy Beer Shaver wearing our Sprite kit you had to laugh. Beer is always better than Sprite lol.

I want to get valencia I still remember the last time we met them and with their antics (while we are stupid in our dealings with them) I hope to thrash them in spain.

so now if i'm not mistaken we should be able to tell who's where in the draw, at least for most teams but we will have to wait for preliminary rounds to have the whole picuture, something might change.

this is the image the user chipschups has posted in the other thread and it should be valid as of today since liverpool didn't win, so will remain in pot 3.

I think PSG, Locomotive, even Athletico (sorta you'll see why not at the end) would be great to have. But the best team to get? Man City, and here's why:
A) we get a high profile team to play against so quite possible raises our own profile along with better TV revenue I'd imagne.
B) It would make Dortmund and Porto(not really) the hardest teams from pot 2, Monaco and Shalke from pot 3 and we're obviously the 4th pot and needn't worry about it. Even IF we got really unlucky and got Man City, Dortmund and Monaco, I see our chances getting through as quite high. But we will most likely get a lower tier team if we get Man City first. Any of the Spanish teams or Bayern would be really bad for us risky for us.
C) We can maybe fuck Pep Guardiola again hehe.
