He missed most important players who won them treble. Robben, Ribery, Alaba, Martinez and also Schweinsteiger is not as good as he was. Any team would suffer if they miss 4 important first team players.

Teams with most possession in Champions league this season.
1.Bayern
2. Barca
3. Juventus
4. Real Madrid

and all 4 teams made it to the semi finals. More often than not, team with most possession wins and also there was hardly any significant difference in possession between Barca and Bayern.

Not sure how Barca winning means death of tiki taka. They counter attack superbly but still they play possession game.

I don't get this possession vs. counter debate. Top teams should ideally be able to play both. Even at the height of tiki-taka, Pep's Barca was deadly on the counter. Which style you play depends on the opposition.

I think today's Barca and Bayern that won treble were ideal teams. Both teams played possession game and also very deadly on the counter. To top that Bayern team were also physical and won lot of aerial duels.
