Finland has been by far the best team in tournament.

But, when it comes to Finland vs Sweden in hockey, it's like no matter how both have played before. Just like Inter vs Milan, just like it.

Okay, I have to say that I'm little more confident now than usually under this match cause of our team's unbelievable tournament. I mean, jesus, we've won ALL our games, we've conceded just 5 GOALS in SEVEN MATCHES (in 21 periods, in 5 Finland have conceded goal(s) ). Huh! Westerlund's defence tactics have been just phucking great and our players have obayed it and done exactly that what they've been told to do on the ice.

For Finland, defeat is not an option.

I hope I'm not being too frank with all you Scandavanians in saying that if you support this "notion" of Italian teams needing a certain quota of Italian players, then I'm sure you won't mind it when the NHL restricts foreign players that are not out of Canada or the USA.

Yup, you heard me right. Being discussed actively on all sports shows and radio.

Well, I don't really think that restricting European players will make a difference now. Europe can have a league that rivals the NHL if they want to, they are head and shoulders above North Americans now.

It maybe discussed in the US, but it's not being so in Canada. There were few hockey personalities that wanted to restrict Europeans, but those also wouldn't want to see French Canadians play, it has little to do with facts and more with pride.

I am sure Canada will fiercely resist a quota on NHL players, the NHL will just be boring to watch.

It will only hurt the NHL to make some restrictions. They are the best league in the world, and if they want to be self-destructive, then be my guest.

The Swedish league benefited as hell last year during the strike, when they were considered the best league for an entire year instead.

So did Finnish league. I would actually be glad if NHL would make such a rule, then all the europeans would be pissed and leave for other leagues.

Anywayz, about today´s final. We lost and that´s that, Sweden was slightly better. Congrats to Sweden and expecially to you Jimmy.

Congratulations to all our Finnish members for winning silver. IMO Finland was the most impressive team in the Olympics and they didn't deserve Silver. They lost only 1 game and it was in the finals and beat the 2 favourites of the tournament (Canada 2-0 and Russia 4-0).

I wasn't so pissed right after the game cause Sweden was better in that game. But, I think we should have earned the gold. For Numminen and Selänne, now they'll never win anything big. :( It was so phucking heartbreaking to see Numminen giving an interview seeing his huge disappoitment and sadness in his face when he couldn't say anything and tears just came to his eyes.

Phucking shit, life isn't fair. I'm so pissed about the defeat for the cause of the whole Team Finland and specially Selänne, Numminen and Koivu. They should have deserved more in their careers (okay, Koivu is younger, but next olympic final is faaaar away).

Yeah sure, but that doesn't affect me too much. :) Numminen will retire after this season, Selänne probably retires too. And Koivu's Canadiens aren't Stanley Cup candidates novadays (and I don't think he will be traded ever, team's captain etc. ) So I think this was their best chance ever to win something. Sad but true.

No, he's 36. And I think he will retire, if not after this season, then probably next.

Ah, the agony! Koivu's stick had to break at that moment. What to say? It wasn't meant to be.

There has to be some stupid people running the Swedish National Team mattters. They are in chance of getting their trophy invalidated.

What idiots...
