Oh, okay.

There is no news about Dr. Dre or his album, which means that it isn't coming out any time soon.

It was supposed to be out this year, he said it himself, but once again (just like he did with Rakim) he has delayed it once again.
I'm getting sick of it, all this delaying sh1t isn't helping him.

Speaking of Jay Z, I seriously don't understand the hype with him, I haven't liked a single song of his, and had no idea why Nas was even bothering with a joke of rapper like Jay Z, I could understand why Jay Z was making songs when Nas' mother was sick, but did not understand why Nas even talked to a plastic like Jay Z.

Honestly, your talking to the wrong guy about Jay-Z. He is my idol, and is one of the reasons why I got interested in Hip Hop. I've got every single one of his 11 or more albums (depends if you count Unplugged, Best of Both Worlds, Colab with Linkin Park). The guy is one of the biggest talents and is also a musical genius, just because he's also business man you shouldn't hate on him.

As far as his singles, one must understand that he is trying to appeal to all types of groups. I usually hate this, but I am a fan of his since Reasonable Doubt and him working with the legendary Big L (rest in peace). I mean, I'm not saying that he is as talented as Nas or anything (Nas is the most talented lyricist ever, but, also the laziest artist and has crappy production.. you can call him the Alvaro Recoba of Rap. :D)

A perfect example is this line from Jay Z from the Black Album, he wish he could rap the way he would but then he'd be like most of the other Conscious Hip Hop artist who don't make big bucks.

"Truthfully, I wanna rhyme like Common Sense
But I did Five Mil
I ain't been rhyming like Common since"

Make no mistake, Sean Carter is a legend.

BTW, I'll get to my thoughts on BE in comparison to the albums released this year.

Jay-Z to me is the biggest fake rapper, alive.
Start with the his rap name, for one...the only reason he picked the name Jay-Z (he says otherwise) is because of another famous New York rapper Azie, only to get attention.
Then there is the whole Nas saga, Nas made Jay Z, it's all fair in love and war but I was embarassed for Jay-Z when he was making all these mix tapes dissing Nas when Nas wasn't even in the boot due to his ill mother, and still, Jay-Z looked like a clwon.
I don't mind rappers who make re-makes of great songs, but Jay-Z, the way he does it totally p1sses me off, some of his biggest hits- 99 problems...thats a Ice T song, Bonnie and Clyde...a Tupac song...I just hate the guy with all of my heart.
Jay Z the king of Madison Square Garden, my ass.

Loved the way Game talked about him, though.

It would help if you get your facts straight.

Nas was friends with Jay-Z, and Jay-Z was helping him with production and things of the sort. The break-up revolved around Nas jealousy of Jigga sampeling his voice to make some hot songs (and this was only for a couple of chorus, nothing big). Nas may have more talent, but Jigga is smart and is a pioneer to this rap game. What P. Diddy currently is, Jay Z will be in the industry for the next 15 years and have talent to back it up. He isn't considered one of the best next to Tupac and BIG for the heck of it.

Game dissed the ROC on 300 bars and running, but he also made it quite clear that he has nothing but respect for HOVA. Check it:

Oh, that boy colder than Hova unless he sober
Like I'm the president, but this ain't the takeover
Now, there's the speaker, bring your ears a little closer
Before you call this a diss, and you make Hova pissed
Why would I wanna do that? When I'm just the new cat

Let's agree to disagree, because your dissing my all-time favorite rapper next to Big L (RIP). This is obviously not gonna go anywhere.

Dude, I knew that Nas and Jay-Z were mates, hence my post said the Nas and Jay Z saga.
IMO, Jay-Z wanted to be the king of New York too badly, and would do anything to have the crown.
That still doesn't explain the fact to why he chose the name Jay-Z which is so similar to another popular yet less mainstram rapper called Azie, and some of his biggest hits aren't truly even his, they truly belong to Ice T and Tupac.
I have nothing against people who like Jay-Z, thats like my having a go at people who like say Rock music, freedom of choice, but what annoys is if people go around saying that Jay-Z is the king of hip hop, IMO, he's not even the king of mainstream hip hop, none of these current rappers are even in the league of Eazy E and to a lesser extent Big L, only one who can even try and compare is Rakim and perhaps Ice T.

Also, what I meant about Game was in reference to him dissing Jay, I was talking about the song 'The Documentary', and the interview part of that song, it was just amusing.

I'm not one to tell anyone who what to listen to, but some people need to stop listening to so much mainstream and listen to some other rap music -Ultramagnetic Mc's would be a great start.

We'll disagree mate, forums need conflict, we're still both Interisti and thats all that matters.

Jay-Z still sucks balls... :p
