Zhang: "With Suning Inter could grow in the Serie A"
Inter and Suning's main objective is too aim high. Zhang Jindong, arrived at Inter with clear intentions, to help Inter get back to their winning ways. Chinese manage Economic Observer, underlines the strategies Suning followed. According to this weekly magazine Suning chose the 6th of June on purpose, only four days before Euro kick-off, perfect timing for the Asian market as most Asian fans follow European football. Also Zhang sees a correlation between Inter's and Suning's growth.
Zhang also followed other Chinese partners who invested in European clubs like Atletico Madrid, Granada and Aston Villa. According to Zhang, European clubs, especially Italian football should follow the NBA model: "Sports industries need strong leagues. If there are more foreign investors in Italy, Serie A's level will increase. It all depends on those who invest."
Suning's financial year was not the best as in 2015 they suffered a loss of nearly 80 million Euro. 2016 will end on the same note. However this should not worry Inter and it's fans as their accounts are solid enough to generate real cash. Suning might also use private investments to improve Inter's finances and dip into the transfer market."
