Does it exist a threat for players hyped to the skies in FIF, linked to Inter and then flopped or let say - doesn't turn in something special.
I recall Imbula guy, who was wanted here two-three seasons ago.

Anyone remembers Tsigalko? The guy was a beast on FM back in the day, funny thing is that a Portuguese club Maritimo (usually a club that fights for EL spots so an important club) fell for it and bought him because of that hype, he left soon after a couple of training sessions because apparently he was a bust, an injury was the excuse, he went back to his former club never to be seen again.

Benfica also fell for Freddy Adu.

And obviously there’s the infamous Portuguese legend Tó Madeira, probably the best player I’ve signed on FM, not a real one though because he was an invention by one of the devs or something like that.

About players that you probably never heard of, there’s a Portuguese dude called Fabio Paim, apparently he was insane and considered one of our best young players ever. When Ronaldo signed for United he once said in an interview, you think I’m good? You should see Fabio Paim. A Portuguese legend Aurelio Pereira who scouted players like Ronaldo, Futre, Figo, Nani, Quaresma also though that he was the best of them all. At only 14 every big club was after him, Sporting have him a contract of 20k/month at age 16, Jorge Mendes signed him, he had everything big cars even before he was old enough to drive, he fell for that life and never fulfilled his potential, he was in Chelsea in 08 but it was all downhill from there, a shame.

I recall Imbula guy, who was wanted here two-three seasons ago.

Porto signed him, Lopetegui made him a priority, we payed 20M for him! I believe he was our most expensive player ever, and then benched him almost every game. We still managed to sell him to Stoke for 24M somehow in January, best deal ever.

Why can't we do what Porto did with Imbula?

It would be a dream if we can sell Vecino for 5 mil more, 30mil.

Joined the day we beat Tottenham but got knocked out by away goals in extra time 4-1 which I thought was completely retarded because 1 team gets 30 mins more to get an away goal than the other. So I wanted to vent.

But yeah, Freddy Adu. I don't know what Sega saw in the guy that they made him such a wonderkid.

Bojinov from Lecce in the mid 2000s.

I also had high hopes for Johnny Heitinga back in the day. I don't know if he was a wonderkid, per se, but I remember he was supposed to be the leading light for the Dutch defence. I know he spent time at Everton, but he didn't really reach his potential that he showed at Ajax and seems to have fallen off the radar since his spell with the Toffees. Not even sure where he's at these days, but he's probably still in his early 30s, which should really be his peak as a central defender.

He's 34 now and coaching Ajax's U19 squad

Anyone remember what Khouma Babacar developed into back in FM 11? Best striker I ever saw in the FM series, 50 goals a season guaranteed.

Another guy who never lived up to the FM glory was Fernando Cavenaghi, well and truly broke my heart that he never went on to achieve the glory he did with me on FM 05
