The latest problems with the forum

I can assure that this forum will NEVER force people to pay money to be a member. Hell, we don't even have that IDIOTIC feature where only registrered members can read the forum.

Any donations made, would obviously be optional. I'm not too psyched about having a vBulletin board either. The design is crap, and there's very little you can do to improve it.

Honestly, with all the Mods (feautures) we have installed at this forum, it's like we're running a vBulletin board already.

No No, I didn't mean a membership fee. What I meant was that thing we did last year, where those who can afford it, can send money for us to change the server to a better one.

But that decision is up to the adminstartors.

Back to the topic, I was getting this error from time to time. I think it's the same good-old error that used to plagues us a times:

I've been getting the same errors as Hamed recently. Also the board as a whole is extremely slow!

As for “vBulletin” vs “phpBB” - all I can say is that the few forums that I used to visit and still do at times have moved on from phpBB to vBulletin! However the decision is obviously up o the admins.

Thanx for the suggestion Ari and as an entrepreneur maybe I'd love that, but as an Interista, the mission of the admin is to create a forum that all other Interisti can enjoy as much as possible. And that means, free forum with quality members & management.

Financing the server bill is not a problem. That, the management can assure you.

Getting a vBulletin, to be honest I'm not sure of its advantage but Tim has praised it to no limit. Jimmy on the other hand, doesn't like the fact that we can't change much of its design. We will continue discussing this matter again.

We can't really reveal what kind of upgrades or stuff we have in mind right now since there isn't a really very concrete idea but what the management can promise is that we will try our best to improve the forum's quality, starting by getting a better and more reliable server provider when our current deal expires.

2. Multiple identity trolls would be gone. (Forza Juve , ZZANG's all dudes)
3. Spammers would disappear. (BBilanistas..)

Would love that to happen but that'd be a very selfish desire. Also, we might miss the opportunity to mingle with Interisti who are not as fortunate as us financially.

Is this place dying? I can barely get into the forums anymore. I really don't wanna move to another Inter community again. Inter Milan Online crashed just when I was about to hit a 1000 posts and here I am... close to a 1000 again. :wallbang:

It's annoying as hell for all of us. The worst case scenario this time is basically the same as last time, when we had to install an old database. The good news is that the old database would be rather new, as we do continues back-ups of them.

The annoying thing is that for a week now, StartLogic has said the same thing. "Your issue has been fixed now, and you shouldn't experience anymore problems. Please confirm the same"

And the timing of these crap stuff is uncanny. On match-days.

today forum works well but yesterday I was getting error pages all the time
I am not that good in all this database and stuff things, but I'll just say I hope you guys are controling this and that this site won't die
if that money-tranfer thing is needed I'll help as much as I can, gladly
