Fast forward to the future

Juve escapes relegation after appeal
27 July 2006
Juventus has sensationally escaped the Calciopoli saga after the lead judge approved their appeal. The lead judge was spotted with the newest Maserati as he drove to the court but denies that the car acquisation has anything to do with the trial.

"Some new Masera...evidence just came up and those proved the innocence of Juventus. I apologised if sentencing them in the first place looked like slander," explained the lead judge.

"Masera...Justive prevails," preclaimed Moggi proudly. "I always know that mone...the truth speaks loudest," announce Giraudo.

Now now, let's try to think of all the possibilities bull$hit thrown away at us come 27 July.
  1. Juventus & Milan escaped everything
  2. Juventus in Serie A with -15 points, Milan with just -9
  3. Juventus in Serie B with -7 points just like Lazio
  4. Coppa Italia, in which Juve will still compete, winners get automatic Champions League qualification. Offer only valid for 2006/2007 season. Present Maseratis before competing to get this benefit.
I am still very skeptical that Juventus will get relegated. Probably, only Fiorentina & Lazio will, because they don't know the holes and the people to play with in this kind of games, unlike Juventus.

FORZA INTER!!!!!!
FORZA INTER!!!!!!
FORZA INTER!!!!!!

Justice has been served

Scuedetto is ours, only Roma is our competetion!
Juve got what they deserved after what they have done to us in 98.
Milan deserves to get relegated but they must of done something??
I am very nervous about the appeals and I hope nothing changes, the verdict did everything right apart from Milan.

Just wondering is the last season Scuedetto ours?

The only match that BB Merda is accused of rigging, that has come to public (Meaning, there could be more but they're not released to the press), is the match against Siena, I think. I forgot what's the result but what I know is, Milan didn't win that match.

Cheating and not winning, pathetic fools.

Right, the forum was acting up yesterday and I wanted to go to the pub and celebrate, so here's my first thoughts on this.

First of all, my main issue here has been towards Juventus. That's the team who had to go down and badly. Going down to Serie B is too little, obviously. However, unless the appeals perform wonders as usual in Italy (and it probably will), starting a season with -30 points means they will at least spend two years in Serie B. That itself will make all of their players (except guys like Del Piero, Birindelli, Balzaretti etc) leave the club permanently. They won't be able to loan all of their stars out for a season and then get them back as soon as they go back in Serie A.

So all in all, I am quite pleased with the Juventus verdict.

And who is actually surprised that Milan didn't go down? Their fans portray this whole thing as it's been them who has been screwed, while Berlusconi's power once again shows itself. And with -15 points they still have a good chance of winning the Scudetto next season. God knows we are capable of screwing up such an advantage. And with appeals, they'll make it even fewer points. Milan will leave this scandal, virtually untouched.

And needless to say, I drank like crazy and had a blast last night after the verdict. :drunk:

-30 is not as big a deal as it sounds....

42 games, maximum of 126 points, 96 for juve... Considering that juve has a huge budget for Serie B, they can easily get around 80, which means Top 6, which means, a mean to get back in A. And given that Lazio is in deep mess both in pitch(players will leave from here too) and finance, and Fiorentina will lose many vital players too, then it's going to be too easy for juve. How can a team with the name juventus in italy, lose more than 5 times in second division?

As I said before, THIS IS CRAP :yuck:

One question... Can prosecutor in Italy appeal for higher punishment or just defence can ask for lowering of verdict???

Well, it would be fair the prosecutor to appeal if the defence do, but I don't really know...

Well said, the summary of the verdict so far... Its utter rubbish that Juve gett away so lightly, let alone Milan. But hey, some punishment is better than no punishment.. If Inter don't win the scudetto this season, we'll get a lot of flak from our rival supporters. So, the pressure is on us,REALLY...

FORZA MASERATI :D:D:D

But I don't know how does it work. For example, in Sweden you can appeal only in special circumstances so I want to know, if in Italy both - prosecutor and defence can appeal in same time...;)
