Speaking of SUV's, I live in the suburbs of UK.. why the fuck do people need SUV's?
I'm very happy with my Toyota Avalon. 2008, 145k miles. Works great. Bought it cash 3.5 years ago for 8k.
Bro i ask myself he same question when ever i m in any big city.... Then again i get it f you have more then 1 child also for some reason station wagons seem to be out of style. The thing that is even more strange to me is why the fuck are there people with office jobs who drive pickup trucks?Speaking of SUV's, I live in the suburbs of UK.. why the fuck do people need SUV's?
Cash is king.look at used car prices and interest rates its crazy.
pick up trucks are even more insane..Bro i ask myself he same question when ever i m in any big city.... In Europe those things are rather taboo, you probably wouldn't know what your best friend makes unless you had a reason to know (eg he either asks you for money frequently or it's some government position where this info is public knowledge). Yet a random American I just met would ask me or tell me how much I make or he makes.
It's a younger person thing. People over 50 have that European disposition you're describing. Anyone else, the world has changed. Everyone wants to maximize their income and hear about others who have been able to do so. There's more of a worker shortage, so people know they have the negotiating power and what to take advantage. On the other topic with personal finance etc
In the USA people are way more open to talk about these things. I make this much and spent this much on that, my networth is X and so on.

Might be because things are tight over here and people don't have an abundance of income streams, but it's also a cultural thing. It's like a "new money" thing, they like to flash money - that usually is just loaned to them - and say random shit. Everyone else isn't loud about it. Even obnoxious bankers, accountants or lawyers won't tell you this shit, but that's probably because they don't want a target on their back![]()
Lol no I m not close to 50 and i know of one of my buddies how much he makes...It's a younger person thing. People over 50 have that European disposition you're describing. We're talking about 'Mericans hereLol no I m not close to 50 and i know of one of my buddies how much he makes...
It really just does not matter....
If your coworkers you might know it but the salary of even close friends why should i care?
Bro common you know better than this, it s to protect michigan Eu will do a similar thing.USA and Canada going to have 100% tariff on Chinese cars haha. That seems such a hater b itch move. So pretty much they can sell us 12k cars and US/Canada are going that isnt fair. All our cars are either Japanese, Korean or 100k pickup truck made in the US.
I get why they ban the clear iPhone knockoff (tho Samsung should also be banned look at pre iPhone version of a galaxy) but Tesla pretty much lets everyone have their technology for free so electric cars are more common. I don't understand this ban.
Why don't they cover it? Because they don't maintain their roof or they don't have coverage for flood? One of my old coworkers house got destroyed by rain. It's crazy how bad the infustructor in the US is. It rained for like 2 days and one of the towns in CT pretty much got washed away.
Shitty thing is Insurance won't cover the damages now they have to pay 300k out of pocket. What the fk does insurance do !

On that note, I'm going to Boston and New Hampshire next month. Give some restaurants recommendations.a water damn broke in the town. Pretty much wiped out the roads. It was a rural area and they got a crap ton of rain. I think Insurance will have to pay they just are rejecting the first time. They will be sued. It's not like it happened to 1 person it happened to like in multiple towns.
Infrastructure in the US is really really really bad. Instead of fixing ours we fix other countries to be the "Avengers" of the World. I lived in Boston as well and when it would rain heavily the sewers would spit water out it was disgusting.
when I lived in Brooklyn heavy rain would a lot of the time cause water to come into the subway. So you are underground and it's raining. Also you see rats surfing which is beyond gross![]()
