He showed his talent with first touch and dribbling. Problem is we already know he is good at that, question is how he is good at defense, but with bad opponents like this Lecce we can't really see.

I like that he wasn’t afraid to use his left foot. He whipped in a good cross and also tried to beat his man to the outside. Shows he’s not just a one trick pony when he plays on the left.

Based on his only two appearances so far, I don't like how cheap he tries to win a penalty in both games.

I'd say he could cross a bit faster, before the defence sets up, but other than that not a lot to say. He doesn't look like a disaster, so that's enough for me right now  I still remember Pereira

He is fast and a good dribbler but from two times he played at inter he slows down the play by trying to trick or dribble in the last 3rd of the pitch, while di marco or bastoni wouldve crossed or run into the box bringing more chaos to the enemy penalty box

Not exactly. Many times they bring more chaos to our attacks than the other. Sometimes we need other alternatives to break down the opponent's defence than the pointless crossings. Buchanan can give us that edge if he can use his characteristics properly, and ofc of he gets more playing time.

I rather found his decision making in attack is really good, in terms of when to do what even the time when he decided to dribble are right.
He is also picking up on where to be and the defensive shape too, he is getting a hold of it, but you won't expect him to be as familiar with the regulars.

The only thing you can really complain (also very very very nit picky is) in his attacking choices or actions is it is a bit risker, e.g. cutting back in the middle to switch sides or open up the defense, cause if you lose the ball there, there might be a direct counter, but so far it tears up the opposite defense without that happening.

Like there isn't much to not like in his attack department, he is also trying and learning hard about the tactics and defense related things that you can tell.

We just aren’t used to dribbles. It’s literally been years since we’ve had a dribbler in this team. Even Perisic wasn’t a great dribbler in terms of beating his man, he just wanted to set up his cross.

To bad he didn’t get a cameo appearance today, but who can fault Inzaghi with Inter's current run.

Yea I agree, with Dumfries uncertain future, we need to know if this guy is the real deal.

I reckon we’ll only see him once we’ve clinched the scudetto. Inzaghi seems to place no trust in him. Maybe it’s a language barrier thing or maybe he’s seeing something in training that’s holding him back.

I liked him in the minutes he played so far. You can tell he is a winger from origin. Has some good technique and flair around him. Heavy doubts about his tactical awareness and defensive qualities, but time will tell.

He almost came on against atletico. It would have been the perfect time. I wish Inzaghi didn’t send him back. There were times were Darmian got the ball of the left wing in a dangerous position and just passed back to Acerbi.

He needs to get more muscular but I really like his impact so far. Shitty ref destroyed the game towards the end. Glad to see TJ getting all agitated - good sign he cares!

The ref gave him no fouls. I feel like if he was a more experienced and known player he would have gotten those calls.

He’s got a certain natural explosiveness about him that no one else on the team, bar perhaps Thuram has. Would be better if he didn’t try to make impossible dribbles into marked spaces but we’ll get there.
