I think Buchanan has already chosen us, our project, we chased him last year already.

This crazy canadian was 7th in successful dribbles in WC22 . Tactical and defensive team movements can be thought. He could be molded into a great counter attack weapon under Inzaghi, maybe even Hakimi 2.0 so lets see.
Bremer chose us, too. They won't wait forever.

Bremer was a 50M€ transfer in the end, Buchanan is a 10M€ deal structured with loan + obl . At that time we were completely cashless, we were dealing with fugazy money.

I wouldnt be surprised if Rube will test us again and places an offer to Brugge just to fuck Marotta.

This kind of deal makes sense, like mentioned in Inter Jections latest episode, if he comes he'll be a bit of Gosens type of deal. We buy the player we need next season already in January. He gets to know the people and the club, how it operates and how everything works in general a bit earlier. In this case he probably will get some minutes aswell, if we need that attacking power during the latter stage of the season. And of course if Dumfries doesn't get fit on time, he'll start playing pretty soon, at least some mins.

Sudden resurgence of Bisseck has eased our situation a bit so that Darmian can be the designated RWB for now until Dumfries comes back. Then he can be the handyman option for wherever needed (specially defensively wise on the right flank).

If this goes through I get the feeling that he will struggle a lot initially, but could maybe come good by season’s end. I just think inter will be a shock for him and he won’t be used to such an environment and the amount of responsibilities and accountability we assign to our players.

Brugge's coach started to bench him the moment he said no to a new contract. Its the usual tactic. Obv now when they can get their investment back in January sale ( but not a huge profit what they really wanted) they won't risk it. 9-10M€ is still a huge money for a Belgian club .

I want this deal done fast. I think he will surprise everyone . Fast and can dribble past players just like Thuram. At 24 its the perfect time to step up in his career and we have elite mentality inside the squad.

Based on highlights and the Belgium fans' comments, Buchanan is quite similar to Cuadrado, except one big difference: crossing.

That quality is quite crucial for a wingback, and not trainable.

Dumfries is also not the best crosser, but he can still create something every now and then. Speed is the most important factor here.

Tbh I'd rather take back Lazaro and invest "more heavily" in a striker, but that's not going to happen.

Isn't Dumfries coming back soon? Pavard, Bisseck, Darmian, Dumfries, and Buchanan seems too much to me for the right

At least that was a very quick response by the management. I really hope this guy won't be another Dalbert.

More like for the future. Both Cuadrado and Dumfries are leaving in summer. And we are avoiding an auction with City for Buchanan later.

We need two players in every role. Pavard/Bisseck/Darmian cover the 3-men defence alongide De Vrij, Acerbi, and Bastoni.

Buchanan/Dumfries would cover the wing-back role.

Darmian has been great for us and his versatility is crucial, but to me he should only be a wingback in emergency situations or if we need to defend a lead. At this point in his career, he gives a lot more as a centre-back in our system.

We need his pace and dribbling thats the most important. Instructing him to less crosses is Simone's job , if he's shit at it. If he can beat a man with trickery and has the same speed as Thuram we will like this signing.

There's big gap level between Brugges and our coaching too. I have a feeling they will eat their words if he's settled in here.

For the most part cut-backs are more dangerous than crosses. We also don't have too many strikers or even midfielders that are dangerous in the air. Hakimi was also very poor at crosses (high/looping crosses) and much better at low crosses and cutbacks.

We've scored quite a few goals from low crosses and cutbacks this season already (Lautaro vs. Salernitana, Thuram vs. Benfica, and much more).

It’s definitely one player too many. Inzaghi had no plans on using Bisseck. This move pretty much confirms that. He played because we had no other choice, and obviously out performed expectations.

I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if Bisseck goes back to getting very little minutes once Dumfries is fit. Inzaghi has historically been stubborn in his pecking order. It will be Pavard, Darmian, Bisseck in that order for RCB slot. Dumfries as starter on the wing and Buchanan as back up (although we might still see some Darmian at wingback until Buchanan is “ready”).

The obvious place to play Bisseck would have been the Coppa Italia. IMO the thing to do would be to make Bisseck the Bastoni back up because he’s played there before in his career. However, I think Inzaghi would quicker play Acerbi there again now that De Vrij is back, simply because he is left footed.

I’m hoping Inzaghi proves me wrong but I feel like Bisseck could be the odd man out here once everyone is fit.
