Think about this, Cancelo was in the same position as Buchanan now. Talented in his home country but failed massively when they first moved abroad. Though I wouldn't call Buchanan a massive failure and Cancelo also had some attitude problems.

We made Cancelo what he's today but nobody here gave him a chance at first.

Let's also not forget that we got him on free loan with a buy option. Simply wouldn't have happened had he had any interests from other La Liga's big clubs. Inter weren't even a CL club back then.

Even if he isn't Perišić or Hakimi, getting somebody there that will play and give Darmian a breather is very important. We don't know when Dumfries is coming back, Cuadrado is probably never coming back and we can't only rely on a player that doesn't want to be RWB and a player that is 34 years old and plays every game.

Buchanan and Darmian subbing each other is the best way forward for such small amount of cash.

In our financial situation we should make deals like Bisseck on a regular basis. They won't always work but that's the right direction to reach financial sustainability. The whole "We're Inter, this isn't the place to develop players" argument is ridiculous when you need to cut wage bill and make capital gains every season.

This will happen only if they accept a loan with obligation to buy... Lets just hope that obligation ain't too much. 10M would be fair. This guy could be a giant flop. I am sure that he will look solid on offense, but he ain't that great of a defender and that would be a big problem for us.

Dalbert was also very fast, and people (including me) used that to justify his transfer.
From another hand, the management did well lately with some infamous transfers, like Bisseck, Thuram, Asllani, Darmian, Mkhitaryan etc., so maybe they know what they are doing.

Sanchez was sitting on a top contract back then, earning 7M/year NET. Currently he is earning way less than that (3M?), so the move was arguably justified from a financial perspective. The stupid thing from the management was to pay him to leave (4M?).

TJ: let's hope they scout mental attributes as well, not just technical and physical.

Have a good feeling about this, for a guy from North America to play in Europe that is some learning curve, he has something that can't be taught and show signs he can actually learn, could turn out like Bisseck, except older.

This crazy canadian was 7th in successful dribbles in WC22 . Tactical and defensive team movements can be thought. He could be molded into a great counter attack weapon under Inzaghi, maybe even Hakimi 2.0 so lets see.
