Yeah to be fair though the goal came from a whipped in cross and a free header, not sure how Casemiro could have stopped that. But Casemiro also helps offensively by allowing players like Kroos more freedom, so perhaps they could have scored more than one yesterday.

I think the main problem with Madrid is Ronaldo's decline with age. The guy has gotten 1 goal in 4 games so far in the league. Over 38 games that would not even reach 10 goals a season. Portugal won the Euros, but he was far from convincing.

He hasn't looked himself, but I think a lot of the players that played in the Euros have looked jaded. I'm not willing to say that he's in decline just yet, his record is such that I have to give him the benefit of doubt. His jumping especially hasn't looked as freakish as it typically does, he's been getting under headers he usually gets over the top of and looks noticeably frustrated. I wouldn't put it past him scoring a hat trick after the international break though. It's still Ronaldo.

Madrid really need another DM when Casemiro is out. Doesn't have to be world class but needs to be able to give the side balance.

Looks like Simone is doing a good job of playing more offensive against the weaker teams, in using both Correa and Carrasco alongside Gameiro and Griezmann. Obviously against better opponents they'll most likely have one of Correa/Carrasco.

Sevilla Atletico next week should be interesting.

So apparently the case around neymars transfer to Barca will get reopened and apparently the prosecutor is asking for a 2 years jail sentence for Neymar and 5 for Rosell.

I know it s not gonna happen but maybe some more people finally realize that barca is a club as dirty as they get probably only second to jube.
