Apparently Bielsa has resigned as coach of Athletic Bilbao. I wanted him at Inter but the guy is too unstable to coaching job like Inter.

yeah :( He apparently had some altercation with some construction worker at San Mames which might have contributed.

Was really having hopes for them next season, wanted more competitive La Liga. Hopefully whoever takes over next can carry it on.

Amazing squad they have got and easily favs to win it.

Good squad indeed, but Brazil named one badass team to:

Goalkeepers: Rafael Cabral (Santos), Neto (Fiorentina)

Defenders: Marcelo (Real Madrid), Rafael (Manchester United), Danilo (Porto), Alex Sandro (Porto), Thiago Silva (AC Milan), Juan (Inter Milan), Bruno Uvini (Sao Paulo)

Midfielders: Romulo (Vasco da Gama), Ganso (Santos), Oscar (Internacional), Sandro (Tottenham Hotspur), Lucas (Sao Paulo)

Forwards: Neymar (Santos), Alexandre Pato (AC Milan), Leandro Damiao (Internacional), Hulk (Porto)

I am going with Brazil winning it.

Yeah apparently that altercation got even physical haha. It seems now that there are some doubts whether he has left yet so maybe he stays. I had hopes of them getting in the way of Barca so Mou can repeat!!!! Na I like La Liga even if Mou wasn't there. I think it could be more competitive with Bilbao and Atletico but Madrid and Barca are just too good. Valencia has taken a step back too me. The fans will get an eye opening as they were too harsh on Emery when he was making magic with what was given as his best players were sold year after year.

Yeah hopefully we see some good stuff from Bilbao and Atletico. Malaga could be up there too with their money but they've still been relatively quiet compared to PSG, City, etc. So who knows.

They call him El Loco for a reason.

He woudnt last for long if we made him Inter coach. The pressure + his craziness would get to him.

Gonna miss that guy, such a solid squad player and never complained about it either. Good luck to him.

Spanish FA have decided to cancel Mourinho's two match ban for eye gouging the Barca assistant manager. Conveniently this now makes him available for the two Super Cup games v Barca!

Yes RFEF will be taken seriously only when they actually start banning Barca's players for diving.

They don't care about physically assaulting people but they are going to ban players for diving?...The RFEF loves CR, can't afford to ban him

Diving has nothing to do with this issue so don't know why it's being brought up, the issue is why is someone getting off scot-free with what basically amounted to assault.

I just came across a fun fact for the upcoming season.... There will be a Galician Derby this season, it has been a while sice the Galician derby was played in the 1st division, it was played last season in the segunda division.

There will be a El Derbi Madrileño, Derbi Catalán, Derbi Valenciano, Derbi Sevillano and the aforementioned Derbi Gallego. Without mentioning when Madrid or Barcelona face Bilbao, Atletico, Valencia or El Clasico itself. It should be an interesting La Liga season I just wish someone challenges Madrid and Barcelona.l

According to the Guardian, Malaga are having a lot of money problems, their Qatari owner isn't repaying the club's debts. If it's not resolved by the end of the month, they will be relegated to Segunda B (third division), will lose their UEFA license and they will not be able to participate in the CL.

They might sell some players like Cazorla to help repay the debt if the owner won't give any of his own money.

"Malaga are a European power now"

Its unlikely that they get that far but it serves as a reminder that not all the sugar daddies are good.

I have no idea what's going on with them at the moment, yesterday was their deadline to do something about their debt or face relegation but haven't heard what became of that yet. But several of their players are rumored to be leaving (Cazorla, Rondon, Isco are the ones I've heard) so wonder if they're going to use player sales to pay off the debt.
