Inzaghi with Inter seems like a matchmake in heaven at this point. Absolutely no need for either side to part ways, let's just hope it lasts longer with such intensity of winning trophies and remaining competitive.

I remember being against him before he came here, didn't saw anything special despite his results with Lazio (underestimated how he kept them in title race for 26 rounds before covid hit so rather than giving props to him I gave him lebel of a loser cause of what happened after and cause of some other big games he lost) and had impression that he is always complaining about something after games which annoyed me very much. Idiotic. But I am also sooo glad I was pro Inzaghi very soon after he came and after I saw what he is doing here and I sticked with that during our lows last season.

Also no one seems to mention we hadn't picked up a single red card all season until Dumfries got sent off recently in the derby.
Gee, I wonder why.. there's some method to the madness sometimes it appears.

According to WhoScored, we’re the best team in Europe when it comes to winning aerial duels. This is a ridiculous stat considering our midfield of midgets.

Interesting. I have taken note of our strength in winning 50-50s in the air but this is a very impressive stat indeed.

Well, first we don't play hoof ball and almost none in Italy do, so middle of the pitch head tennis a la Premier League is not something you'll see a lot.
Thus, aerial duels are mostly from dangerous crosses in the box, on either end.

On the other hand, due to our fluid structure where Barella and Hakan are typically the last players when we first receive possession, it's more common to have Acerbi/De Vrij or Bastoni or the RCB (mostly Darmian I reckon in terms of heading in that region) to be the first line of defense.

We're dangerous at corners and set pieces and we rarely concede from them, so it makes sense to see metrics agree with that.

2 games left and our goal difference is at +67.

I had to go back to the season 50/51 to see a team with a better +/-. Milan was champion with +68. We were second that season, 1 point behind them and with a GD at +64.

Let's beat that mark.

I just found the record all time and it's obviously Torino in 47/48, champion with a +92.

Inzaghi gave the team 4 days rest . They will be back on Wednesday. Yeah, I understand him. Being an Inter player now is like going to school in the last month of the year - just for the fun.

This is actually good management from Inzaghi, the lads did a good job and deserves this, which they should/would try to close the league early again next year.
They get the job done early, you reward them and not punish them.
Also same with the yellow card, good discipline so we have the least cards, only when time are essential and he also keep them on the field accordingly.

Saw this in the early days, good for a long term building, unlike Conte just squeezes everything and not substantial in the long run.

So far extremely good balance and management from Simone 😃
