Yup - I think at the time he said that was when we were confident in getting Lukaku.
I think he didn't expect this kind of mercato at the time he talked. Back then the Lukaku thing hadn't even happened yet.
Which just shows how important a quality goalscorer is - takes you from hoping for top 4 to aiming for the league. I'd be very surprised if Inzaghi mentions the word scudetto again.

Btw Serie A might earn extra slot for Champions League from next edition but if Inter get through that slot, Inzaghi will be gone.

Inzaghi will have work his magic again, everybody should have lower expectations, just top 4.
not at all, it will be a roller coaster again,
we will have positive results we will higher expectation before
we plunge in 0-0 results and our indecisive strikers and weird results
we lack the finisher in the attack side and we lack a player with full techincal abilities who can be used to crack closed games.
instead of the 20 passes style.

He is starting to become a world class coach. Squeezing the max of what he got.
When Atletico or Madrid or Liverpool need a new coach they will probably knock his door.
His progress is rally impressive. I hope we wouldn't lose him at least for the next couple of years.

I'm just glad we've settled into a system where we're not switching formations every game like the banter era.

This way the chaos stemming from the massive player turnovers is being mitigated to some extent.

Inzaghi goes to show what patience and trust -and not a lot of money to pay for dismissed managers- does for a football club.
In different times (Moratti era) Limone would have been fired a long time ago, but now he get's the chance to evolve and learn. We have seen glimpses of what Limone is capable of.
The way he set up his (inferior) team to Man City showed us that. And I was also impressed how the team turned things around last year when it was not going their way. This is also thanks to Limone's man management skills. Ofcourse I have no insight on how things are going on around Inter. Although I get the feeling the players enjoy playing for Limone.

If Limone keeps evolving and learning, winning prizes and competing in Europe. It would not surprise me if EPL or some tier 1 teams in Europe come calling.

Good to see some positivity around here. A bit early, but it works for me. He is a good coach and less of drama queen than Conte.

I was really pissed by him at one point of the last season, but he overachieved his targets with Lukaku missing for a almost whole season, Skriniar available only for the half and Brozo with a long absence as well.
We shall be more patient with him even if the season doesn't start very good for us.
