This guy did a miracle with this team. Almost managed to beat City and totally outsmarted friggin Guardiola with his billion dollar team. And yet people here complain about him. He sucked in the league but give him some credit. No one can say after tonight that this team strayed to the final. We proved we belong there. With terrible owners like Suning, with old farts like Darmian, Dzeko and Acerbi.. So much hate, you should be ashamed. Who knows when or will we ever watch Inter in final of CL. Disgusted.

And they blame him cause he didnt start Lukaku?????! Same guy that saved Dimarco shot that would 90% end in goal and then missed clear header. Now reading comments on Croatian media, commentators and pundits are making fun of Lukaku. He is a massive choker. And here some jokers blame coach cause he didnt put this dude in first 11. Yet he totally neutralised Pep's machine. Cant believe what I am reading here. They should be ashamed. I was convinced City gonna massacre us, but we put a great fight and even had better chances. I said in another post. We have a very thin roster. Basically those who started today plus Lukaku, Gosens and Mikhi. Ok, you can count Skriniar, if you want. That`s it. I don`t count the catastrophes like Gags, Correa and Dumbo. They are no good even against Cremonese.
Plain and simple, this is not a roster to fight on 3 fronts. We played all possible game this year. With supercoppa, Cl final and so on. There are no other possible games. And more than that too many of our senators are in their wrong side of 30`(Darmian, Acerbi, Mikhi, Dzeko). And we had also our share of injuries (Brozo, Lukaku).
Pep said he needs basically 2 teams to fight on 3 fronts. Klopp also a few years ago was in CL final and barely made the 4th place in EPL, because the squad was too thin.

After todays game I’m convinced that Inzaghi tactically is a top coach who has a lot of room for improvement if the management backs him up with solid reinforcements. This would not necessarily require a lot of investment - they already built a CL final level team out of free agents and we can continue to be frugal but effective.

I do hope that Mister will use the results of this season to be more demanding than he reportedly has been so far and will manage to assemble a team that can keep fighting for silverware while developing some new young talent. Truth is, the squad is very old and we badly need some fresh blood.

On a side note, if the timing is right, I’m sure Inzaghi will be the next NT coach. He’s ideal for the role, being the cup specialist that he is.
