As I said before, I was going to give him some weeks to overturn our form before sacking him; because I never saw him as the main issue behind our performance/results. I believe several of our players underperformed and injuries didn't help him either so far.

I still wait to see how the team will turn up against Sas, but I hope this win against Barca will change our season for good.

I had really lost faith in him, bit just because of our shit results but because of how poor all our key players were performing.

Glad for him because I do actually like him, he just looked like a rabbit in the headlights these last few weeks. Please fuck follow this up with a win at the weekend

Let's hope this is like the Juve away win last season when we went to win all of our remaining matches except that one at the end of the season. We were in a quite a slump there too like now.

We needed some luck with VAR but when we've ever been lucky in UCL last time?
I hope it isnt the case like last season with rube when they beat Chelsea in CL. After that they continued to suck.

Biggest take away from yesterday we re still a pretty good team when we defend deep. Gonna be intresting to see how Inzaghi uses this for serie a cause obviously we cant sit back against mid table serie a teams to much.

Exactly. This team knows how to play that way and it's build to it. We were never built to play high line, free flowing football. We managed with that year ago some time, but hit the wall later.

Can't play like that against minnows yes, but we need to maintain the idea of balance, unity, fighting, discipline. The stuff Conte taught the team. It's as if the players forgot it. Conte made them "stars" but in that certain module, playstyle only. They are not players who can fucking slack around, pass nice and tidy, forget the defending. They are not skilled enough with the ball to do that.

Fucking Conte tried the same thing two years ago and failed. He changed to defending and we won the Scudetto.

I support Inzaghi for the most of it, but there are a lot of things that are under his management and went wrong.

I am not talking about how certain players drop in performances for simple things like mis-passing or make big fuck ups, but I am heavily questioning the team's squad doctors, fitness coaches, which is 100% on Inzaghi, even I can argue that things were too uncertain in pre-season to even have a pre-season to figure out everything.

The game plans for most games are actually on spot (kudos to the match analysts too), even for the Bayern (gave us the best shot already) and Roma IMHO, however, before the Roma game, almost every player (except Lautaro and a few others) aren't really playing for the team or their hearts weren't in it, but that is more on Sunning and management, which led to failing in executing the game plan, and it is not due to the plan not working (except for the Udinese game or maybe the Lazio game).

However, his game plan does have some tendencies to neglect the characteristics of the players themselves, which could hinder the performance, easiest example would be De Virj, setting him up with a high d-line is basically amplifying his weakness, compare to playing a low block, and give him a stopper in front, he can freeze Lew while doing cover duties, also his Dzeko fantasy for counter football.

I love how he let Asllani played against Barca, also he made all the right subs and tactical changes.

I don't think he lost the locker room; the players don't hate him.

Don't be hasty, as even if we beat Sassuolo, Batselona will destroy us in the return leg most probably.
If we can somehow win or draw that game, it will be huge moral boost for the lads.

Honestly, if he corrects his subs, timing of the subs, he is not too bad. Consider, Brozo out, Lautaro is not scoring, Lukaku MIA, Correa is not scoring either. Let's see how it folds down when Lukaku is back.

If we beat sass like we should and get a draw or more against barca, then I’ll soften my stance on him. But it’s difficult to see him succeeding here

Lol there's no way we're winning at Camp Nou
That’s why I said it’s difficult to see him succeeding here. Of course we’re not winning at camp nou, we’ll probably lose by a few. I’m more or less saying I think this result was a fluke and/or pretty meaningless in the grand scheme of things. I’d love to be wrong, but let’s be real here, our problems didn’t magically disappear with a scrappy and lucky 1-0 win at home against barca. I get the feeling that sassuolo gives us serious trouble and we 1-1 draw or even lose, then the shit storm flairs up again, we drop out of CL, and no one remembers this win, kinda like the 1-0 at Liverpool.

Barca match was perfectly planned and executed IMO. That wasn't a fluke at all.

We gave them one chance, that Pedri goal when they penetrated the defence and were able to give that cross. Even that can be attributed as not a great chance, which then just turned to a great chance as Onana missed the ball. Which then luckily hit Fati's hand.

Point is, Barcelona, didn't get great chances against us. And we scored a goal, already in the first half. We executed our plan perfectly. We were playing tight, giving them no space in our box and attacking without risk levels going up. Spirit was there which resulted in this lack of space as every player did tons of work, tons of running, tons of covering the space.

Exactly the things which made Conte's team so good. Attitude and spirit. No giving up, do your duties.

If we continue like this, we can be right back at the Scudetto challenge because the team has the qualities for that. Only thing we need is to do this thing every week.

inzaghi job needs to be backed by the OWNERS. and so far the owner itself REFUSE to back him at all.

The match at Camp Nou shouldn't, and won't, be decisive for Inzaghi's fate. We were the underdogs since the moment of the draw, it doesn't look like Viktoria are going to be a factor and qualification will be decided on h2h matches against Barcelona. We made an important step on Tuesday but we still need a result at Camp Nou to qualify. We are still the underdogs albeit with better odds. If we qualify it will be great but failing to do so can't be considered a failure and a reason to fire the coach.

Instead Inzaghi's fate will be decided on the matches in Serie A. We have 4 matches before we face Juve in early November.

Sassuolo away
Salernitana home
Fiorentina away
Sampdoria home

These are 4 must win games after our terrible start. Anything less than 12 points in these matches would be a disaster. That should be the test for Inzaghi.

It wasn't a fluke and it wasn't meaningless. 3 million€ mean a lot for this club and beating Barcelona is always massive for the club and the players even if we do get eliminated. Every little thing helps during hard times.

If Inzaghi had any common sense he would bench Handanovic and start Onana and give the Captaincy to Skriniar.

It would give Skriniar something to think about and consider given PSG's interest and it would be an indication from the club that he is important to us, despite what happened over the summer. Also, I think Skriniar needs the motivation of the Captaincy to get him to re-focus his attention on his role at Inter, his standing in team and at the club.

Of course, I do not see Inzaghi doing any of the above. We will be held hostage to Hanadanovic to our own detriment and Skriniar's performances will continue to be up and down until his future is decided, one way or the other.
