Today's match against Bayern was a great example. After a bright start to the second half, our discipline and focus simply vanished around the 55th minute and we started doing this shit again. We lost our shape, we started losing balls, players stopped tracking back to defend space. That promptly lead to Bayern scoring their second goal. It looked like we abruptly burned out.
The derby is another perfect example. In the 5-10 minutes on either side of our first goal, it looked like we'd properly grabbed the game, with our passing and movement really starting to take hold. After we conceded from a mistake, we completely lost our heads and could have conceded more before the break.
The team should have known to tighten up and remain compact. They should've known to compose themselves, weather the storm and regain some control. Instead we did the exact opposite. We tried to play fast-and-loose out of trouble with reckless abandon. Players repeatedly lost the ball with ludicrous decisions in dangerous areas, trying high-risk moves like backheels and flicked passes. When they needed to show the most determination they showed zero and they were outfought in every duel and outran to every 50-50 ball.
The more we gave away the ball like this, the more we stubbornly doubled down on it and just lost even more balls. That is both extremely worrying and bewilderingly stupid. It displays a complete lack of maturity or self-awareness. That is to say, without Conte barking at them on the sidelines, they don't even have the wherewithal to calm themselves down and reorganize.
The period in between Milan's equalizer and the end of the first half was some of the worst football I've ever seen in my life. It was the equivalent of someone having a panic attack and repeatedly trying to start up a car with no gas - instead of simply filling up the tank with more gas.
Even when we did claw one back, we went on a mad rush trying to grab the equalizer and expended a ton of nervous energy. It's clear the players had an adrenaline dump because after that frantic few minutes we were completely non-threatening until the end of the match. It was obvious that if we didn't score there and then, that we would not find the equalizer.
The players have to know better and be more mature about it. When the momentum switches in our favor like that, we have to steadily turn up the pressure, not attack at 100 miles per hour. For fucks sake Dzeko scored in the 66th minute, not the 96th.
You'll often see this in boxing and MMA. One fighter lands a big punch which staggers the opponent - instead of picking their next shots and methodically finishing a dazed opponent, many fighters will get overexcited and waste a ton of energy clumsily looking for the knock out. If they aren't controlled about it, the frenzy often leaves them completely out of gas for the rest of the fight.
Speaking of gas, fitness levels look absolutely pathetic right now. Inzaghi needs to take responsibility for this because we've looked lethargic and sluggish since preseason. Whichever dickhead is in charge of player fitness isn't fit to shine Pintus' shoes. Spalletti also had Martusciello leading his defensive drills. Who is Inzaghi's Martusciello? The comical fitness levels and horrendous defensive organization of the team makes you question not only Inzaghi, but whatever clowns he has on his coaching staff.
Speaking of the man himself, it appears Inzaghi has little ability to control or instruct the players from the sidelines. The most damning evidence of this is Barella and Dumfries who have been disgustingly complacent recently. Watching this so-called Interista, bandiera and future captain just complain and trudge back made me want to throw up. Dumfries too, for his lack of technicality, has always been a successful grinta merchant. But recently even his grinta seems unreliable.

I don’t blame Inzaghi, management should be blamed. Inzaghi played well last year in the champions, against Juve in the coppa final and also against Milan in all three maches. This year we look weaker than last year, we lost Persic, Vidal, and Sanchez… those are players with winning mentality and have experience. Sunning can’t do shit anymore and it’s clear that they want to sell the club if proper offer arrives. We have to lower our expectations. The team is not prepared to win this year..

Appreciate the long writing actually, very agreeing on the coach staffs, and yes it is on Inzaghi, cause he is the one appointed them, assuming.
However, "Conte barking at them on the sidelines", I don't think it would do any good in this situation. Think of Mazzarri's strict, rigid, focus, discipline and determination in the banter era, to me I feel like that is what Conte would become if we had no budget, and the also includes hiring the right staffs.
I remember reading Mazzarri forcing Guarin re-watching his own mistakes over and over again, and Guarin hated him so much LOL.
I don't think Inzaghi is off the hook, but management is more responsible than him.
All three loses this season( or second Bayern goal) show a common thread of the team losing motivation after conceding.
Milan’s opener was probably very frustrating for the team, ( scored shortly after the team scored a great team effort goal) along with Lazio’s second goal, which was scored shortly after Inter was putting serious pressure on Lazio.
So the team losing its shape could very much be down to conceding unnecessarily or against the run of play.
Also, almost all goals scored versus those three opponents were down to unforced individual errors. (Milan’s equalizer, Anderson’s header, D’ambrosio failed clearance, Giroud’s goal).
We will never know how Inzaghi would handle our 2020/21 roster, or how Cunte would do that with last season roster. I do know that Cunte's first season was zero trophys and Inzaghi was two. Second season Cunte got Hakimi, Perisic, Vidal, didnt lose any starter..Inzaghi got Lukaku(totally out of shape),Mikitarijan, two unproven youngsters and friggin Acerbi and lost best player of season- Perisic. Yeah it's really unfortunate. Seems Inzaghi doesn't have the full control anymore. Year before and we all remember we played some good fucking football, we were almost like balling.

That doesn't sound like they are discussing about results. There's definitely shit going on inside the team. It's good they are trying to resolve it and there are support for Inzaghi too from the management level.

Changing coach would most probably mean bye bye Scudetto dreams. So as long as we are in that fight, there's no reason to change the coach. Only case when the coach change mid-season would come into question is if we are risking top4 finish. And we aren't risking top4 finish in September. Not even November.
That donkey make me miss conte also, not that conte is the best coach, but at least conte have some charisma and big effect on the players, compare to inzaghi that the players dont give a shit about him...
