Hi Neutral fan here. Is Conte going to leave? I hope not, because I think he's a world class manager and he can help Inter to overtake this current Juventus side.

Welcome to the forum. No one really knows but right now Conte leaving looks like the most likely scenario. I am struggling to believe Conte is going to leave all that money on the table though Conte is often unstable and self-destructive so you never know. I agree Conte stay would be beneficial for all parties but he needs to be motivated if he chooses to do so. If we're going to have a repeat of his second season at Chelsea, then he better leave now.

I would say the team response
was limited and the player mentality
just got hit at 3-2

not to mention that
we always do bad after a big score game

look afterwards ACMILAN 4-2
after brescia 6-0
after spal 4-0

and finally after shactanr 5-0

we enter a fake boost tunnel

happened with Matzarri with sassulo 7-0
mancicni
pioloi
spalleti
and finally conte

sad :(

hard luck

You mean like Barella holding his throat, when he just had a straight arm across the chest? ;)

Yes, exactly like that.

You want to talk about theatrics, gamesmanship and cheap fouls, look at it this way: if there were 10 instances where an Inter player, be it Barella or Lautaro, tried to win a cheap foul through gamesmanship, the ref blew for about 3 of them. On the other hand, there were probably 20 instances where Sevilla players did the exact same things and yet won fouls for 15 of them.

No one is denying that Inter players tried to win cheap fouls through gamesmanship. People are annoyed because the ref wasn't having any of our bullshit while helping himself to big, heaping spoonfuls of yours.

Overall, the amount of times I saw Sevilla players running into the back of Inter players, falling over, and receiving fouls, was just insane. In terms of "which team won more soft fouls through gamesmanship" and "which team tricked the ref more" the winner of both categories is unquestionably Sevilla.

As others mentioned, the clearest example of this was Jordan grabbing Barella's shirt from behind to stop a counter attack. The spastic even did it right in front of the ref. When players do that kind of thing, they usually give the ref a thumbs up and a friendly pat on the shoulder. They obviously know they're committing a professional foul in exchange for a yellow card. It's a long-established transaction. And yet, Jordan was inexplicably not booked for this clear professional foul while Gagliardini was carded for literally the exact same offense.

As everyone has noted, neutrals included, there was about 90 seconds of actual football played from the 75th minute until the 96th  So even if we're being generous and pretend like both teams were equally guilty of gamesmanship up until then, you guys sure blew us away in the last 20 minutes of the game  To use a boxing analogy, if the "gamesmanship fight" was even for the first 8 rounds, then the last 4 rounds were all Sevilla  The amount of bullshit you goons pulled in the last 15-20 minutes of the match completely outdid everything before that.

Forget the gamesmanship for a second though because the red card and handball incident outweigh any other bullshit point you're trying to make about cheap fouls. That shitter who scored the winner shouldn't have even been on the pitch. If that foul occurs in any standard league game, it's a red card and likewise, the handball a penalty. The ref just didn't want to ruin the spectacle of the final by sending off a player in the first 5 minutes. Nor did he want to penalise one side too heavily by awarding us a second penalty and giving Diego Carlos another yellow. Beyond those two big incidents I even recall a third moment where Diego Carlos was very lucky to not get a yellow. Who does this guy think he is? Pjanic? Lichtsteiner?

But let's cut the bullshit for a second here. Step even pretending to be impartial  Everything you've said and the tone in which you say it clearly shows which team you're supporting so, please, kindly fuck off and go back to Sevilla forum and QPR forum and Leverkusen forum and so on. Congrats on the EL though. You guys deserved it and I hope you win many more.

Hi, Thanks for the warm welcome. Conte's second season with Chelsea was not so good, completely falling out with the board. I've heard that Conte is having disagreements with the Inter board in terms of backing and recruitment. I've also heard rumors about him being sent a bullet, and safety is a reason he could leave?

I do hope he stays but Conte seems to be very demanding and unpredictable so we will have to see if he chooses to remain.

Yeah this was super frustrating. There's sore losers and then there's sore winners. This was just pathetic and it ruined the game.

Fuck this Sevilla team. Think I've got a 3rd team to add to my list of douchebag teams (Barca, juve & now Sevilla). Play acting from the 1st minute up until the end of the match. Horrible referee fuck him too... Giving fouls when the contact was like 1 foot away from touching, disgraceful refereeing. Still pissed off about this match lol

It still hurts. Our season was overall good, we've made progress, but finals should be won.

It feels like both coaches kind of relied on a helping hand from lady luck in the second half, when the two teams were dead tired. And luck went their way.

Conte should have been proactive with the substitutions. We lost the final with Eriksen on the bench for 77 minutes.

I was down for about a week after the final. I simply could not get over the loss and opportunity we had for our first trophy in a decade.

I was doing okay for a bit but I woke up yesterday morning down and depressed. The loss in the final struck me again as if it only just happened and I could not help but think of the missed chances and late substitutions.

Who would blame Sevilla for cheating this was a final, they have not even injured the Inter players big.
