Juve close in on Romero?
By Football Italia staff

Juventus are reportedly closing in on a deal to sign Genoa defender Cristian Romero for a fee in the region of €30m.

According to Goal.com’s Romeo Agresti, an agreement is ‘now at the finish line’ after Romero managed to ‘fully convince’ Juve, who ‘firmly believe in his potential’.

The transfer expert writes the deal will be finalised in the next few weeks and pocket Genoa ‘around €30m’ with bonuses included.

The 20-year-old only joined the Grifone from Belgrano last summer but has already made 14 Serie A appearances, scoring one goal.

An Argentina Under-20 international, he would go straight into the Old Lady’s squad next season as opposed to return on loan to the Rossoblu.

He can also play at right-back and is described by Agresti as ‘a warrior with a strong personality and ample room for improvement.’

We are moaning here, but imagine to be a Genoa supporter. Your club find 3 fucking rough diamonds: Piatek, Kouame and this Romero.
In less than a year their president will sell them for over 100m and I bet he paid maybe less than 10%. And surely he will not invest all the money back in the squad. At least Cagliari, Sampdoria, Fiorentina keep them for more than a season.

Hopefully we take Kouame back. I can believe he was ours and they throw him away like a broken tooth.

Milan have reportedly agreed a deal to sign Nice winger Allan Saint-Maximin for €20m plus bonuses.

According to Sport Mediaset, Nice ‘appreciated’ Milan’s respectful pursuit of Saint-Maximin in the final week of the January transfer window and have accepted a bid.

Saint-Maximin would have also agreed a five-year contract with the Rossoneri, but the broadcaster stresses the deal is likely to depend on Champions League qualification.

Nonetheless, the France Under-21 international will only have a year left on his contract this summer, putting his side in a difficult negotiating position.

Agent Marko Kirdemir also confirmed last week the 21-year-old ‘liked’ Milan as a destination and that a transfer was ‘possible’ in the summer.

Saint-Maximin has scored six goals and assisted three in 23 appearances for Nice this season.

For the sake of Serie A, I hope Milan get back into the CL. However, I would LOVE to see what kind of FFP shitshow they’d end up in if they failed to.

Official: Genoa sign €16.5m Sturaro
By Football Italia staff

Juventus have announced that Genoa have signed Stefano Sturaro permanently in a €16.5m deal.

Sturaro was initially thought to have re-joined Genoa on loan with obligation to buy last month, but a statement on Juve’s official website confirmed on Wednesday that ‘pre-established contractual conditions’ had been met for the purchase option to be brought forward.

Consequently, the Grifone have agreed to pay the Bianconeri €16.5m for the midfielder over the next four years.

The 25-year-old has not made an official appearance all season but was named a substitute in each of the Rossoblu’s last two Serie A games.

16.5m for Sturaro.

This could be a FFP deal, which means Juve will do them a favour soon. Just like 31m for Bastoni (linked to Carraro, Battella & Eguelfi) or 15m for Caprari (linked to Skriniar).

Probably some FFP shit that has to do with the Romero deal they're preparing.

I know that. It's similar to our evaluation of 15m for Caprari in the Skriniar deal but i find it really funny considering Juve got Perin for less.

Hamsik won't move to China anymore cause apparently Dalian didn't respect the agreement, at least according to what Napoli tweeted, as they asked to pay the 20 mil in more installments.

Some anti-juve guy on instagram is raging about juve's sales figures. Mandragora €20m, Orsolini €14m, Audero €20m, Sturaro €16.5m.

Let’s be honest those players aren’t worth those figures especially considering they bought Perin for like 12m. So let’s take a look into that because there’s no way anybody should rate sturaro over like 7 mil

It's cooking the books to meet ffp requirements. They have accused us of doing this with our primavera guus, while they actually do it and blatantly

Of course, but there's a line where it becomes a joke.

Odegaard to Sassuolo for €5m or Radu to Genoa for €7/8m or whatever is arguably acceptable, arguably pushing it. Point is, it's within the realms of reason. Then there's what fucking juve do which is, completely in line with their character and history, a flagrant disregard for the system, and should be investigated and punished.

I agree with you and if it sounded otherwise, I guess I didn't express my opinion property.

What us and other clubs do is reasonable. as much as it hurts for us, the likes of zaniolo show how good our young players can be and even the worst ones have never been priced over the limits of what is conceivable.

After all, our youth sector has dominated their leagues these years.

The same can't be said of those juventus players. They were priced at least 3 times what they are worth.

In this regard I see no diffence betweenus and Rube. Both are blatant. At least Mandragora, Sturaro played a few minutes in Serie A.
Who the fuck is Odegaard?
Orsolini still belongs to Juve and for Audero, only recently Sampdoria activated the buy-clause. Audero e´was one of the best goalkeepers in Serie A. 20m is not much if you look at what costed Kepa or Alison.

But is it that if you play well for one year (or half-year?), you are then rated to be the same route as Kepa and Alisson?

I know who Audero is. I kinda like Sampdoria.
They have the right to buy Audero for 20m and they exercise that. From my point of view, the price is correct and they took the right decision.

Mandragora and Sturaro is another discussion.

Actually, its only 7M per season.

Yeah, Di Marzio and others have reported it's 7.5 million plus bonuses.

Looks like signing on fee is added to the wage to make it look big, after all it was reported by Arsenal journalist.
