Too bad we let them score 1 more at the end..

4-0 Seems impossible, because our defense+clean sheet sounds like a dream right now, hopefully we can score atleast 2 goals on first half, even if shalke scores 1 we're still in it..

Pandev, Eto'o, Milito and Coutinho in please!! ALL or nothing! :star:

Time to attack Leo

We have to score between 1'-25' 1gol ,25'-45' 1 gol ,45-70' 1 gol,70-90 1 gol.Is difficult but not impossible, this is the reason we love PAZZA INTER and football.

Indeed. at first I thought it was impossible too, but their defense is not that good!!
I know ours suck too, but it will be alot better with Lucio in yet, we could easily score 4 first match, eto'o had a bad day..
and including last minutes, since we got red card actually we stopped playing, so 90 minutes is enough.

But I liked your comment, this is exactly why we like football, it would be alot funner now if we make it to semi's!
And even if not.. a good game could give us a boost for the scudetto, and then we or Napoli has to win it.

Cheer up peeps, football woulda be boring if it was too easy, for me atleast

I am sorry but I disagree. The players will be in much better morale when they see us still standing together after their loss. Let's send 1000 fans to where Inter will train in Germany the day before the game. Let the fans cheer and sing all the way for them. Prove to them that we are still here with them no matter what. I believe the players at least will be willing to die on the pitch for us.

As for us here, we never know. Probably one of the players is a member here or visit here regularly?

Cambiasso: "Team and club behind Leonardo"

"The team and the club are squarely behind Leonardo. The fans are behind us as well," continued Cambiasso. "They showed how fond they are of these players who only a few months ago raised the Club World Club." Cambiasso stressed that "we are the only team to be challenging on all three fronts, maybe someone has forgotten that. We lost two important matches but we can still put things right. It would have been worse had we suffered that defeat in Germany because then we would have been eliminated from the Champions League like all of the other Italian teams."

According to Cambiasso, "the matches should be analysed but this is neither the time, nor the place. In the Champions League match we had two opportunities to score. If we had scored, no one would be talking about a negative result or fatigue now. Then if we hadn't received those red cards... There really are a lot of things to analyse."

Zanetti: "Leonardo, extraordinary and a real man"

The two defeats in the league, against AC Milan and in the Champions League have not tarnished the high esteem in which the Nerazzurri players hold their coach Leonardo: "He's a real man," said Javier Zanetti, captain of Inter, after the presentation of the 'Tazzina del Capitano' organized by fondazione Pupi. "He's an extraordinary man under every aspect. He has confidence in us and we have confidence in him." Zanetti then added that he has known Leonardo "for ten years. Since he arrived here, Inter have changed: I believe we should go ahead with him because we get on very well."

Zanetti also added that the Nerazzurri president Massimo Moratti "has always stood by us, there's no reason to lose faith in this team." At this difficult time for the team, Inter captain Javier Zanetti wanted to stress the harmony in his squad: "Criticism? I know how to do my job and this is normal; some people just can't wait for times like this. We lose two matches and we read statements that I honestly can't understand, but in any case these do not affect the team." :depress: I hope they never read this forum :depress:

The Argentine stressed that "this team has been winning for six years. There were two matches where the positive aspects can't be cancelled." Inter, for the captain, "is in the running for all of the competitions. We want to go all the way," he said." We know that in the Champions League things will be difficult, but nothing is impossible and we'll play our game." Finally, as regards the criticism of the attacking formation, "we have played with this formation before and things went fine," said the defender. "Errors were made but we will continue. Now we're looking ahead and we are thinking about Chievo, then we'll think about the Champions League calmly, we know what we are worth."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

guys we should be ashamed of ourselves :nono:....capitano and cuchu are right this is not the time to analyze and talk about changing coaches or how the team is pathetic and won't do shit or whatever we do its time to support our team 100%...we should be united during times like this and then only can we overcome anything...:proud:
the players still believe and so should we...lets all stand together and support the boys...they need us :interscarf:

Missione Impossible.Inter are bound to concede a goal, how the hell are you capable of scoring 4 goals without conceding none?Missione Impossible. To score 4 goals(lets dream)you need to play super offensive,i cant imagine this Inter not conceding, when was the last time Inter kept a clean sheet?CL is over,so is Scudetto.See ya in Coppa Italia finals(if Inter makes it...).Still nice to see you guys believe in it,but one has to stay realistic...

Agree, time to wake up,next season will be better.

Our defense will be the key to success.
If we just for once in this season play the effective defensive football we played last season I can see us succeed.

We had 3-4 chances in Munich and scored 3 goals. Anything is possible if you play effective and clever.

Let's not forget we'll have Lucio back. And even though we still conceded a lot with him/Rano, he's much, much better than Chivu.

Even the brazilian commentators were dumbfounded as to why Chivu was playing again after his dreadful derby. We were playing better at the start of the 2nd period, creating 2 clear chances in less than 10 minutes, but then came the 3rd goal. That goal was entirely Chivu's fault and I could see him out of position from the start... I even shouted at the TV.

Playing Chivu also took Ranocchia out of his usual position, since we had been playing Lucio/Rano and used Rano/Chivu, and if you think that shouldn't matter, you should play as a defender...

My point is, it'll be a hard game. Probably the hardest of the season (so far), but it can be done.
Sure the squad we'll be even more tired and in a worse shape psychologically, but under Leo we can and have played attacking football and Schalke was the easiest draw for a reason. They didn't win that game. We lost it. 3 times the game was in our hands and we let it go through our own mistakes.

With a stronger backline and some lineup/formation changes we have way more than it's needed to trounce Schalke. We've done harder things this year.

They will be playing their hearts out, but so should we. And our hearts are bigger, meaner and stronger.

If you mofos look it up in the first leg's game thread, I was the one who warned everyone no to be so overconfident, cocky and all because we might end up like against villa -fucking - real. now look what's fucking happened.
But I will also join the faithfuls here. Not only we must believe, but should remember how the first leg game went. schalke was rather advancing on their right wing, with Farfan against Capitano and chivu. Now Farfan is out due to yellow card suspension, chivu is out bcoz he's a moron and due to a red card; hopefully Capitano (moving to midfield or whatever) will be replaced by Yuko who is at least faster and can keep up with whoever he has to, and Rano will get back to his usual position, along with the relaxed Lúcio, who knows exactly what schalke is about, since he played a shitloads against them - so too against ragnick. If anything, we may hope for a 3-1 or 4-2 win, but I didn't lose faith in our boys making it to the semis - WHATEVER IT TAKES. remember, schalke had literally EVERYTHING going their way - still they conceded and were weak in defense ('DEE-FENSE' :] ).
anyways, It ain't over 'till it's over!

You have a slight chance.

If you can score 2 goals before halftime anything can happen. If Schalke score though, it will be all over imo.

I can't say I'm surprised though. Inter rode their luck against Bayern, and were so lucky to have went through.

That said, i think you would pose more of a threat to United or Chelsea then Schalke would. Your defense is atrocious though. How can a defense, that only conceded 1 goal against Barca despite being down to 10 men last season, can suddenly become so dog shite.

Maybe you are not considering that Samuel is injured (which was The Leader of that defence along with Lucio) since November, that we changed coach 2 times, different form and players than last year, etc. totally uncomparable situation.

Why the fuck are we suddenly overcrowded by these BBIlanistas??!??!?! WTF?!?!? Its like a girl who dumbs some dude, but he cant get over it so he becomes a stalker & spends his miserable life wishing that she fail but she just keeps rocking!!!! FUCK Y"ALL BBILANISTAS. GET THE FUCK OUTTA HERE!!!!

Back to what matters: INTERNAZIONALE.

Just as many have remarked our CMs are completely exhausetd. I am not totally against using Obi or Cou & even Mariga (if he decides to make it out of the sick bay :palm:) We are in a situation where there is no pressure ion us, coz in all honestly everyone (but us maybe) expects us to drop at th is stage. Why not use that to our advantage? In French we say, jouer sans complexe. that is go there like u have nothing to loss.

Nagatomo 0 0 0 0 0 Maicon<br />

 [/QUOTE

That midfield is risky, but guess what, we ain't got nothing to loss! If we can get If they loss, its like oh well, we already screwed it up in Milan; but I bet u Yuto, Obi, Eto'o, Javier, Cesar are guaranteed 200% performers! Mayb that is just what we need.
Yuto will provide some much needed speed on that left wing, coupled with Eto'o. Sneijder & Eto'o are the only creative forces we have (Cou aside, not sure on Obi) So I think we should give Eto'o some what of a free role, alongside Sneijder; or (my preference) move Eto'o to Cf, take Milito out & play in Coutinho or Pandev on the left. Again very risky, but if I were the coach, i'd give it a shot. JUST DONT GIVE ME A MF OF MOTTA, DEJAN & CHUCHU AGAIN! PLEASE!!!

I guess in a way, this will be the perfect game for Leonardo to show his real side and go all crazy offensive from the go. Now is the time to go 4-2-1-3 like we did in Milan. Heck, play Sneijder beside Motta in midfield, and Coutinho behind Milito, Eto'o and Pandev. We need to score at least 5 goals, because I'm sure they'll score at least one. If we're going to go down, at least go down fighting.

2-5, in the last minute of the overtime Pandev scores the game winner after dribbling 3 Schalke04 defenders.
