Why? I thought Livaja was supposed to be the guy with attitude problems not Longo.

Once upon a time, there were numerous Dudes compared the talent of Longo to Balotelli.

It might sound strange, but Longo was all we had at the academy, so the hype naturally went to him.

Did any of that team that won that tournament with Strama as coach actually do anything other than make us small amounts of money on the transfer market?

You mean do anything for Inter? or for themselves?

If it's for Inter, then they really did nothing.

If it's for themselves, the best is probably Bessa, playing regularly at Genoa, a decent Series A club. Other than that, Destro? If he counts, he did alright after leaving Inter permanently, most notably probably while he was in Roma before he got excessively fat in a short period of time.

Livaja also has had a decent career, even won the super league with AEK.

Don't call it super league dude, people will think it's a proper league  Makes Juventus seem like boy scouts, AEK got lucky because no one was paying attention to them to stop them from actually winning :D

From that nextgen winning squad? Benassi without a doubt. He's 23 now, played 146 Serie A games, scored 18 goals, has captained Torino on occasion, now is a first team player for a EL side Fiorentina. Duncan has also has 141 apps but he's 2 years older and he's missed a lot of game time in the last two seasons with injuries.

Yep played with Italy NT as well.
Obi is also same path pretty much as Duncan although i think he is older but he is really screwed by the the continuous injuries.

On another note really disappointed with the strikers that have come up through our youth system (except of Ballo)
We have had 1 striker produced every year almost and yet none of them managed to breakthrough , i think it started with the likes of Dell Agnelo and Napoli who got completely lost, then Destro who was looking like the best of them and actually was having a great path until decided eating is better then training and after him Bonazoli who as well got lost and Longo that disappointed in comparison with the potential but is having decent professional career anyway. I really don't have any hope that Pinamonti will be different.

The common denominator for them i think is the difficulty of Italian system to being loaned out from one reality to the other. Probably if they had been given the time to grow slowly in our B team their career would have been better. Maybe not inter material but for sure better.

Loan with obligation my ass :palm:

Inter Striker Longo Set For Cremonese Loan

According to a report from FCInterNews.it, Samuele Longo is on the verge of joining Serie B side Cremonese on a loan deal until the end of the season.

The 27-year-old striker, who is under contract with Inter until the end of the 2019/20 season, is currently on loan at La Liga side Huesca and is supposed to be there until the end of the season.

However, the call to return to Italy has quite simply been too hard to turn down for Longo, who has spent the past three years on loan at various Spanish clubs.

In the coming days the Inter academy graduate will sign his contract with the Grigiorossi – who will have an option to turn the move permanent in the Summer.

If they decide to take up this option, the report adds that the Nerazzurri will have a buy-back option.Since graduating from Inter’s academy back in 2011, Longo has made just two appearances for the first team.

So he has a contract till the end of next season. At that point, it will be what, 10 years of being loaned out  ?
