Anyone notice the smile at 7-11 seconds?

It makes me wonder if he has realised that Inter was well and truly his home. It is almost like he is trying to hold it back and be casual, when in reality, he is absolutely stoked.
Don't fool yourself, the guy only cares about himself and his money.

Y'all he made a couple dumb ass mistakes. He's back. Let's judge him on the pitch.

He's playing for Inter, so let's root for him and win another scudetto, shall we?

im not the biggest Lukaku fan, but he did cut his salary by 4M just to get here and if he really cared just for the money he would have not needed to do that.
Isn't he coming back with basically the same salary he used to have back when he was with us? I don't know the exact number, I think it's pretty close. That's hardly a sacrifice in my opinion. He was litterally quoted saying if we had accepted to give hil a new contract he would've stayed. He himself doesn't believe in what he says.

To each his own, but I personally don't believe that Lukaku cares about Inter or about the tifosi. He f*cked over his "childhood club" after all the declarations so expecting that he would treat Inter differently is very naive imo. We were always nothing but a step for him to put his career back on track. Nothing wrong with that in my book. But I don't think he was smiling because he realized "Inter is his home"

I'm probably grouped as a Lukaku hater but leaving out 4m net salary is what I call sacrifice. He did look genuinely happy, whether it was for him or the club who cares as long as he performs.

Anyone who fucks over Chelsea (unintentionally or not) is a legend in my book. Love you Rom!

No mercenary would join Inter. We're a broke club on a selling frenzy and little ambitions. A mercenary would either stay at Chelsea and collect his paycheck or leave to somewhere like PSG, not reject everyone and choose only Inter out of all clubs.

Now why Lukaku left Inter in the first place and came back on lower salary? I think he's just stupid, that's all.

Aight we're broke. I was hoping we'd actually get him adequately replaced but unfortunately we didn't. So I can only hate in retrospect, we need all the luck in the world now. So I really hope he finds his form and maintains it consistently through the season. Let's try and get that second star.

It comes down to Inzaghi how well he will use him. He has limited characteristics, but those are hard to stop. On the one hand, Inzaghi is an intelligent coach and I believe he can twist his tactics well. On the other hand, he insisted on playing Lautaro Dzeko, when it was clear their partnership was nonexistent

He reduced his income by 3 million, that's a lot of money, none of us can make it. Especially since he reduced by 3 million a year, and his contract with Chelsea was signed until 2026, he would have quietly milked Chelsea for the rest of his career if he was interested in money.

I think it's 4 mln. From 12 to 8 mln now, but there are rumors that he refused some other destinations like PSG and Bayern in favor of Inter. PSG could give him even a better salary than Chelsea, so he is not here only for the money.

What I found:

Romelu Lukaku (Centre-Forward) has 5 years and £84,500,000 gross remaining on his contract with Chelsea (Premier League), expiring on Jun 30, 2026. Romelu Lukaku, who is 28 years old, will earn a Gross Salary of £16,900,000 for the 2021-2022 Season, or £325,000 per week. Net Annual € 10,782,925

In Inter Milan 20-21: Gross € 9,620,000 / Net € 7,500,000

Eh, he plays for us again, so forza Rom. At the end of the day I want us to win games and titles, and I think this will help us do that.

I think he is more lucky than stupid. He signed a 5 year agreement, which takes him to age 33 on a big contract.

After one year, he is back to play regularity in his preferred environment. In any other situation, he would not have received as much as he did for less than ~1 season of inconvenience.
