Sabatini ‘scandalised’ by Lukaku behaviour with Inter

+

Inter transfer verdict: Are the Nerazzurri stronger without Lukaku?

I`m very happy that this guy is not part of the club any more.

Lukaku costed Inter 2 European cup finals – should he not choke when most required, Inter would have added 2 more trophies to the cabinet. Excellent riddance.
He didnt cost us any trophy, he costed us what was supposed to be our first European trophy in 13 years, twice. Not to mention seeing our kits in those meme videos of him fucking up.

That's a bit much no? The Europa league perhaps. But the CL final, even if he scored one, would still be extra time. Dimarco also missed a big chance that game

People like to simplify things, like how people claim Radu cost us a Scudetto when in reality we couldn't score that night

Yeah as much as I despise Lukaku, I can't blame him for us not winning CL. I can blame him fucking up that glorious chance. If Lukaku scored, doesn't mean we would have won. It was an even match, we couldn't score, they did, end of story. Dzeko starting ahead of Lukaku was the right decision because I trust Inzaghi more than Lukaku.

We had the momentum, we just didn't score. Some people believe that City would crumble if we scored, which ofc is impossible to say. But lessons were learned and I'll be betting money on Inter next time we are in a european final

Hey, he made it 6-0! In another universe FIF would be like "he's in form!!!"

Did he celebrate the 6th like a last minute winner goal?

He just did the same standing about waiting for something to happen and scored a goal that looked like he ran and stumbled into a shot . Then did that lame ass celebration like he has a chip on his shoulder while looking like he ate 90 bags of chips. Typical Lukaku fuckery.

Hm, I though they already dropped him after the Inter transfer fiasco...

Well I did say he was the best goalscoring striker option we were linked to and so far that prediction looks pretty true. No regrets at all about Thursm though and tbh there wouldn't have been space for Thuram to flourish here if Lukaku was here too, but unsurprisingly he's looking light-years ahead of scamacca and balogun.

Come on, man. I know what you're trying to say but this isn't really the time to say it. If we conceded that goal you'd be crying that the GK has to eat bench for the rest of his career. It was straight at the keeper, in usual Lukaku fashion, with the exception that the GK just let the ball slide through whilst he made room for it.

What are your comments on the Zapata goal from the same game? Wasn't that more in line with what we'd expect from our striker? But apparently "he's finished", whereas a weak Lukaku shot that goes in is an example of proper transfer policy...

Tbh, I didn't watch the game, the point is 3 in 3, when everyone was calling him finished. He will score quite a few this season I suspect. Probably not enough to make a big difference to Roma, but as a goalscoring striker I'd be willing to bet he finishes the season above scamacca and balogun unless he does his cruciates

Nobody was calling Lukaku finished. We said he is too expensive considering his age. Two completely different things.

And the price at that time was not what Roma picked him for.

Plus the snake venom on top. Fuck him and the toxicity in the dressing room.

Well tbh, to be fair, stop looking for a way to find one of your predictions right. We are just lucky Lukaku ended up acting like an ass and we stopped signing him at the end.

Don't disagree about the venom. After what he did there was no path for him back to Inter at all.

And definitely a few people around here thought he was outright finished.

What most people said was that he'd be finished after 1-2 seasons (like the one that preceded).
Don't think he was called finished, he was just called "not value for money" and surprisingly people tried to justify the opposite just because media assumed we were willing to overspend for Balogun or Morata or somehow land Hojlund.

Latest rumored fee was 35mln and around 7mln salary, which was great for 3 years and acceptable for 4 years contract. But, Lukaku in means no Pavard, so I'm happy that it haven't happened.
But, compared to the alternatives and their prices: Scammacca and Balogun, Lukaku definitely was the best option.

If he wasn't such a bitch I would've preferred Lukaku + Less good replacement for Skriniar over Arnautovic + Pavard.
